נעם לי לקבל הפ"ש ממנו ע"י הוו"ח אי"א נו"נ רב פעלים בעל מדות הר"מ שי' ירוסלבסקי, בצירוף ספרו לחקר שמות וכינוים בתלמוד וכן התדפיס לתלמידי רבי יהודה הנשיא.
ויישר חילו לאורייתא להוסיף כהנה וכהנה כיד ה' הטובה עליו לברר נעלמות וכו' ויעיין בספר תניא לרבנו הזקן בקונטרס אחרון קנט:, ועוד.
ואתאפק לא אוכל מלהביע תמיהתי, לאחרי בקשת סליחתו בזה, והוא שכנראה מכמה מספריו מאז ומקדם מעדת החסידים הוא (איך אפשר להיות אחרת) ולפי"ז תקותי חזקה היתה שיקדיש זמנו וידיעותיו לתורת החסידות וגדוליה ונושאיה ועניניהם, וביחוד בשנה דאזלינן מינה שנת המאתים להסתלקות הילולא של מורנו הבעל שם טוב, וחפשתי ודרשתי ולע"ע לא מצאתי מהנ"ל, והרי בכלל כנראה סופר מהיר הוא.
מובן שאין כוונתי בהאמור ובכלל אין זה מעניני הטפת מוסר ח"ו, כי אם בהנוגע להבא, וכיון שעניני תורה כל שעה ורגע זמנם הוא, תקותי אשר בעתיד הקרוב ירבה בהנ"ל ולא רק ליהנות את עצמו כי אם כדרכו להדפיס לרבים בשטח האמור, וביחוד לפי המובא בכ"מ מדברי האריז"ל (הובא באגרת הקדש לרבנו הזקן סי' כו) שבזמננו חובה ומצוה לגלות זו החכמה, ולדכוותי' בודאי שהאריכות בכל האמור אך למותר.

I was pleased to receive your regards via the vavac"h iy"a nu"n Rav Pe'alim Ba'al Middos Reb M. Yeroslavski, along with your book on the study of names and titles in the Talmud as well as the reprint for students of Rabbi Yehuda HaNasi. May your strength in Torah increase further and further as G‑d grants you success in clarifying hidden matters, etc., and may you study in Sefer Tanya by our master the Alter Rebbe in Kuntres Acharon section 159, and more.
I cannot restrain myself from expressing my wonder—after asking your forgiveness—because it seems from many of your books that you have long been from among the chassidim (how could it be otherwise), and therefore I strongly hoped you would dedicate your time and knowledge to Chassidus, its great figures, its bearers, and its topics. Especially this year, which marks two hundred years since the passing (yahrzeit) of our teacher the Baal Shem Tov. I searched and investigated but so far have not found anything from you on this subject, even though it is clear you are a swift writer.
It is understood that my intention here is not at all to offer rebuke—G‑d forbid—but only regarding future efforts. Since matters of Torah are always timely at every moment, I hope that in the near future you will increase your work in this area—not only for your own benefit but also, as is your way, to publish for the public in this field. This is especially important according to what is brought many times from the words of the Arizal (as cited in Iggeres HaKodesh by our master the Alter Rebbe section 26) that in our times it is an obligation and mitzvah to reveal this wisdom. For someone like yourself there is surely no need for lengthy explanation on all this.
Summary
The Rebbe encourages using one's talents to spread Chassidus publicly, especially when commemorating significant anniversaries like that of the Baal Shem Tov. He highlights that revealing these teachings is both a duty and a mitzvah in our generation.
