I hereby acknowledge receipt of your letter from the 25th of MarCheshvan, in which you write about spreading the teachings of Chabad through radio waves in Eretz Yisrael, may it be rebuilt and established by our righteous Moshiach.

My strong hope is that you and your colleagues will not be satisfied with past achievements, for in matters of Torah and holiness the command is to always ascend in holiness. It is self-evident that there is always room for preference and increase in matters of holiness and good connected to the Holy One Blessed Be He, Who is infinite and boundless and desires that man and his actions be in His image and likeness.

Especially this year, a year of special merit marking four jubilees since the passing-hilulah of the Baal Shem Tov. It is known that at the time of passing all matters of the one whose yahrzeit it is are elevated with greater strength. The Baal Shem Tov emphasized dissemination—as he wrote in his holy letter—spreading the wellsprings (even among those still considered "outside"). And what greater dissemination than through radio waves which break all boundaries and partitions?

Fortunate is the portion of everyone who does all they can to spread these wellsprings to fulfill this directive mentioned above in that holy letter—to continue and bring closer the coming of King Moshiach very soon.

Since you, as you write, studied at Yeshivas Tomchei Temimim in Warsaw—whose purpose and inner intent is also to spread these wellsprings both in nigleh (revealed Torah) and pnimiyus (inner Torah)—certainly you absorbed its spirit and matters of Chassidus Chabad which are themselves the teachings of the Baal Shem Tov.

Just as in material matters there is a rule that nothing exists for naught nor is anything ever completely lost—so too your time within Tomchei Temimim's four cubits and its influence remain effective; may you utilize them fully. Especially since public merit assists you.

As per your request I will mention you and your family at the resting place of my father-in-law, the Rebbe, according to what fits your letter's content.

Regarding what you write about recording words of inspiration connected to Yud Tes Kislev—the Rosh Hashanah for Chassidus—for broadcast on or near that day: It is understood that words of inspiration generally—and especially regarding such a special day—cannot be said "by order," but require a special state of mind and unique inspiration. Surely for someone like yourself this lengthy explanation is unnecessary. Even though your intention is desirable, it is not possible to fulfill this request.
