עס האט מיר געפרייט צו באקומען די ידיעה וועגן דעם סיום הספר תורה וואס וועט פארקומען קומענדיקן זונטיק אי"ה. השי"ת זאל געבן עס זאל זיין בשעה טובה ומוצלחת און דער זכות פון דער מצוה זאל ביישטיין אלע אנטיילנעמער.
אונדזערע חכמים, זכרונם לברכה, פארגלייכן די גרויסקייט פון דער תורה הק' מיט דער גרויסקייט פון אידן און אונטערשטרייכן די אויסגעבונדנקייט פון ביידען, אזוי אז איינס אן דאס צווייטע קען ניט אויסקומען, און דעריבער ווערט אזוי אפט געזאגט אין דער תורה הק': דבר אל בני ישראל, צו את בני ישראל אד"ג.
ווען א סיום ספר תורה ווערט דורכגעפירט פון א ישיבה ווערט נאך מער אונטערגעשטראכן די אויסגעבונדנקייט פון אידן מיט דער תורה, ווארום דער צוועק פון א ישיבה איז דאך צו דערציען אידן וועלכע זאלן פארשטיין ווי ריכטיק אפצושאצן די הייליקייט, גרויסקייט און טיפקייט פון דער ג-טלעכער תורה ניט נאר אין הארצן און אין מוח, נאר אויך - און דאס איז דאך דער עיקר - אין מעשים בפועל, מקיים צו זיין תורה און מצוות אין טאג-טעגלעכן לעבן.
השם יתברך זאל מצליח זיין די ישיבה אין איר הייליקער ארבעט צו דערציען תלמידים וואס זאלן שטענדיק געדיינקען, אז די תורה איז היא חיינו ואורך ימינו, וואס תורה ווערט אנגערופן תורת-חיים- תורה פון לשון הוראה - אנווייזונג און לערע - און חיים - כפשוטו - אין טאג-טעגלעכן לעבן; במילא ברענגט די תורה און מצוות אן אונערשעפלעכן קוואל פון ברכות פון דעם נותן התורה סיי צו די לומדי-תורה און סיי די תומכי-תורה פאר זיי און זייערע בני-בית, בגשמיות און ברוחניות גם יחד.

I was pleased to receive the news about the Siyum Sefer Torah that will take place this coming Sunday, G‑d willing. May Hashem grant that it should be at an auspicious and successful time, and may the merit of this mitzvah stand for all participants.
Our Sages, of blessed memory, compare the greatness of the holy Torah to the greatness of Jews and emphasize their inseparable bond—one cannot exist without the other. Therefore, it is so often stated in the holy Torah: Daber el Bnei Yisrael ("Speak to the Children of Israel"), or Et Bnei Yisrael ("to the Children of Israel").
When a Siyum Sefer Torah is conducted by a yeshiva, this inseparable bond between Jews and Torah is even more emphasized. The purpose of a yeshiva is to educate Jews who will truly appreciate the holiness, greatness, and depth of G‑d's Torah—not only in heart and mind but also—and this is essential—in actual deeds: fulfilling Torah and mitzvos in daily life.
May Hashem grant success to the yeshiva in its holy work to educate students who will always remember that "the Torah is our life and length of our days," that Torah is called Toras Chaim—Torah from the word hora'ah (instruction) and lesson—and chaim (life) literally in daily living. Consequently, Torah and mitzvos bring an inexhaustible source of blessings from the Giver of the Torah both to those who study it and those who support it—for them and their families—both materially and spiritually together.
