במש"כ בדברי הרמב"ם (הל' תשובה ספ"ט) שבימות המשיח עולם כמנהגו נוהג כו' - כן כתב ג"כ בהל' מלכים רפי"ב. ויעוין בזה בס' עבודת הקודש (לר"מ בן גבאי) ח"ב פל"ח. וגם ע"פ שטחיות לשו[נו] ברמב"ם בזה, הנה ברור הביע דעתו מוחלטה, אודות המאורעות שיהיו קודם התגלות המשיח וסדרן, ז.א. קודם שתתחיל הגאולה. וז"ל בהל' מלכים פי"א: המלך המשיח עתיד לעמוד ולהחזיר מלכות בית דוד ליושנה כו' ובונה המקדש ומקבץ נדחי ישראל כו' מי שאינו מחכה לביאתו... כופר בתורה כו' [וחא"כ מבאר מהותו וסדר המאורעות] מלך מבית דוד הוגה בתורה ועוסק במצות כדוד כו' ויכוף כל ישראל לילך בה כו' וילחם מלחמות ה' כו' ונצח כל האומות שסביביו.
באם כותב בצרפתית או אשכנזית - יש להתענין אודות הדפסת מאמריו שמזכיר במכתביו במכ"ע (ירחון?) המופיע שם. אלא שאיני יודע בפרטיות איזה חומר מתאים לקוראי המכ"ע. ויכול לפנות עדכ"ז לד"ר ערמן שם, ומובן שברשותו להוסיף שפונה אליו ע"פ הצעתי, כיון שמכירו הנני כידיד ליובאוויטש מאז ומקדם.

In response to your question about which books from my revered father-in-law, the Rebbe, etc., you should prioritize acquiring for your library—begin with Likkutei Dibburim (recently published in four volumes; they will be sent to you now from here since it is not known if they are already available in Eretz HaKodesh), Sefer HaSichos, and the Kovetz HaMichtavim.
Regarding what you wrote about the words of Rambam (Hilchos Teshuvah end of chapter 9) that in the days of Mashiach the world will continue as usual—he also writes this at the beginning of Hilchos Melachim chapter 12. See also Sefer Avodas HaKodesh (by R. Meir ben Gabbai), part II, chapter 38. Even according to a superficial reading of the Rambam's language here, it is clear that he expresses a definitive opinion regarding the events that will occur before the revelation of Mashiach and their order—that is, before the redemption begins. And these are his words in Hilchos Melachim chapter 11: 'The king Mashiach is destined to arise and restore the kingdom of David to its former state... he will build the Temple and gather in the dispersed of Israel... whoever does not await his coming... denies the Torah...' [and afterwards he explains his nature and the order of events]: 'A king from the house of David who studies Torah and observes mitzvos like David... will compel all Israel to walk in it... will fight the wars of G‑d... and defeat all the surrounding nations.'
If you write in French or German—it is worthwhile to inquire about publishing your articles mentioned in your letters in a periodical (monthly?) that appears there. However, I do not know specifically which material would be suitable for readers of that periodical. You can address all this to Dr. Ehrmann there, and it is understood that you may add that you are approaching him at my suggestion since I have known him as a friend of Lubavitch for many years.
