ואם התועדות מסוג האמור, בכל עת ובכל זמן, פעולתה רבה וגדולה למאד, וכידוע פתגם אדמו"ר הזקן, וואס א חסידות'שר פארבריינגען קען אויפטאן קען אפילו מלאך מיכאל ניט אויפטאן, עאכו"כ כשעצומו של הזמן גורם ומוסיף.
וחייב אדם לומר בלשון רבו: ח"י אלול איז דער טאג וואס האט געבראכט און בריינגט לעבען אין אלול, ח"י אלול גיט א חיות אין דער עבודה פון אני לדודי ודודי לי.
אשר אלול כולל כל הג' קוין וענין התשובה העולה עליהם, כמבואר בכ"מ ומהם בהקדמה לקונטרס אלול תשי"א, והרי זוהי הנקודה צ החיות והפנימיות צ של כל עבודות אלו בחדש אלול.
ויהי רצון שפעולות יום האמור תומשך בכל הענינים דמחשבה דבור ומעשה, לבושי הנשמה, וביתר שאת ויתר עז בהנשמה עצמה ועד לפנימיות הנשמה.
שהרי זוהי בקשתנו הפנימית מתחיל מחדש אלול: בקשו פני את פניך ה' אבקש.
וגודל הענין מבואר מהדרגא אלי' מגיעים על ידי עבודה האמורה, וכמ"ש בלקו"ת סוף ד"ה שובה ישראל, שעל ידה מגיעים עד לאותה הבחינה עלי' נאמר, ופני לא יראו.
בברכת כתיבה וחתימה טובה לכאו"א עם ב"ב שליט"א.

סיום הנ"ל אינו כפל בברכת השנה באופן פרטי, כי יש בזה מה שאין בזה, וכמובן משער היחוד והאמונה ריש פרק י"ב, בענין העולה על כולנה בצירוף אותיות הרבה להיות תיבה (שכל אחד מישראל יש לו אות בתורה), ובעניני עשי"ת יש ענין בפירוט ובירור כל דבר דוקא (עיין שו"ע רבנו הזקן הלכות ר"ה סי' תקפ"ב סעיף השביעי).

To the participants in the farbrengen on the luminous day of Chai Elul, the birthday of both great luminaries, the Baal Shem Tov and our Rebbe the Alter Rebbe, may their merit protect us and may they be remembered for good—may G‑d be with them—may they live. Shalom u'Vrachah!
I received your letter and your notes from the farbrengen with pleasure.
If a farbrengen of this type has a great and powerful effect at any time and in any place—as is known from the saying of Admor HaZaken: "What a chassidic farbrengen can accomplish, even Michael the angel cannot accomplish"—how much more so when the very essence of time itself adds to its effect.
And one must say in one's teacher's words: "Chai Elul is the day that brought—and brings—life into Elul; Chai Elul gives vitality to the service of 'Ani L'Dodi V'Dodi Li' (I am my beloved's and my beloved is mine)."
Elul encompasses all three lines (Torah, prayer, kindness) and teshuvah surpasses them all, as explained in many places—including in the introduction to Kuntres Elul 5711—and this is the point: it is the vitality and inner dimension of all these services in Elul.
May it be G‑d's will that the effects of this day extend into all areas—thought, speech, and action—the garments of the soul—with even greater strength in the soul itself, reaching its innermost core.
This is our inner request from the beginning of Elul: "Bakshu Panai—Es Panecha Hashem Avakesh" (Seek My face—Your face, Hashem, I seek). The greatness of this matter is explained regarding how high one can reach through such service—as stated at end of Likkutei Torah on Shuvah Yisrael—that through it one attains that level about which it is said: "U'Fanei Lo Yeirau" (and My face shall not be seen).
With blessings for a good inscription and sealing for each individual with their family.
P.S. The above conclusion does not duplicate blessing for the year in a private way because each has something unique—as explained in Shaar HaYichud VeHaEmunah at start chapter 12 regarding how many letters combine to form a word (since every Jew has a letter in Torah), and during Aseres Yemei Teshuvah there is special importance in specifying and clarifying each matter (see Shulchan Aruch HaRav Hilchos Rosh Hashanah section 582 paragraph seven).

Summary
The Rebbe teaches that Chai Elul infuses life into all aspects of our service during Elul. Farbrengens have unique power to inspire lasting change; their influence should permeate our thoughts, words, actions—and reach deep within our souls throughout this auspicious time.
