במענה למכתבו מי"א במנחם, ממהר הנני לענות עליו. על פירושו למה שלא קבל עדיין מענה על מכתבו הקודם, שאפשר איני שבע רצון מקביעות הזמן שכותב, אינו נכון כלל [ולפלא, לאחרי שכבר הודעתי שעכוב המענה הוא מפני רוב הטרדות, הרי כל אחד בא לפרש רמזים ורמז רמזים שונים ומשונים]. ובכלל אין מקום כלל ללשונו "בדוחק לסדר חתונה" שהרי זהו שני הפכים, חתונה צ"ל בשמחה ושמחה פורץ גדר עד למרחב העצמי שהרי הוא היפך המוחלט מעניני דוחק. כן מובן שאין מקום על חצי השני של חדש תשרי, שלא ראיתי נוהגים בזה.
בעת רצון אזכירו וב"ב שי' לכל אותן הענינים אודותם כותב ויהי רצון שיבשר טוב בכל הנ"ל וכן בענינים הכללים בטוב הנראה והנגלה ובאופן דמוסיף והולך.

Shalom u'Vrachah!
In response to his letter from the 11th of Menachem, I am hurrying to answer him. His explanation as to why he has not yet received a reply to his previous letter—that perhaps I am not satisfied with the set times he writes about—is completely incorrect. [And it is surprising, after I have already informed that the delay in response is due to the many preoccupations, that everyone comes to interpret hints and all sorts of strange and varied hints.] In general, there is absolutely no place for his wording "with difficulty to arrange a wedding," for this is a contradiction: a wedding must be with joy, and joy breaks through all boundaries, reaching one's very essence, for it is the absolute opposite of anything to do with difficulty. Likewise, it is understood that there is no place for the second half of the month of Tishrei, as I have not seen this practiced.
At an auspicious time I will mention you and your family for all those matters about which you write, and may it be G‑d's will that you will share good news in all of the above, as well as in general matters, with revealed and visible good, and in a manner of continual increase.
