וכיון שתלוי הדבר בכמה פרטים ופרטי פרטים, הנה יפרט המצב לפרטיו לפני שלשה מידידיו במקום ויהי רצון שיתן להם השי"ת הרעיון הנכון איך לייעצו.
בכל אופן ידוע השקפתי, כשמתחילים ללמוד מקצוע ובפרט כשכבר השקיעו בזה כמה מרץ וכמה זמן ויש תקוה שיוכל לנצלו, הרי אפילו את"ל שאין זה דבר בטוח במאה אחוז, בכל זה כדאי להשלים הלימוד והטעם מובן.
תקותי שיש לו קביעות עתים וקביעות גם בנפש וכידוע פתגם כ"ק אדמו"ר הזקן בזה, הן בנגלה והן בחסידות ומשתתף בהפצת המעינות, שהרי הם הן הצנור והכלי לקבלת ברכות השי"ת בהמצטרך לאדם הן בגשם והן ברוח.

Since the matter depends on several details and particulars, let him describe his situation in detail before three of his friends at the location. May it be G‑d's will that He grant them the proper idea on how to advise him.
In any case, my view is well known: when one begins to study a profession—especially after investing much energy and time in it, and there is hope that it can be utilized—even if it is not one hundred percent certain, it is still worthwhile to complete the studies, and the reason is understood.
I hope he has fixed times for Torah study and consistency also in spirit—as is known from the saying of the Alter Rebbe on this matter—both in Nigleh and Chassidus—and participates in spreading the wellsprings. For these are the channels and vessels for receiving G‑d's blessings in all one's needs, both material and spiritual.
I await good news regarding all the above.
