I hereby acknowledge receipt of your letter from Rosh Chodesh Tammuz, together with a copy of the contract—may it be at an auspicious and successful time—to spread Judaism in the spirit of Yisrael Saba among your community through founding a holy yeshivah where pure Torah will be studied.

May it be G‑d's will that this beginning should be at an auspicious and successful time, good in an evident and revealed way; that is, that any possible obstacles and difficulties to the development of this most lofty matter should diminish more and more. May the holy institution become established and develop both quantitatively (the number of students learning in holiness) and qualitatively (the level of study).

Merit is brought about in meritorious days, as your letter was received close to the days of Yud-Beis and Yud-Gimmel Tammuz—the redemption of our Rebbe, our leader, the head of Israel, namely my revered father-in-law the Rebbe—and "the body follows the head."

With honor and with blessings for success in all that was mentioned to you and to all who participate with you in this holy and most lofty work.
