6396 —כוח ההתועדות די"ב–י"ג תמוז וברכותיה

To the honored participants in the farbrengen of the auspicious days, the days of redemption, Yud-Beis and Yud-Gimmel Tammuz, 5718 in the holy community of Toronto—may Hashem be upon them and grant them life—Shalom u'Vrachah!

It was with pleasure that I received the letter from Or LaShlishi (the third day), a day that is doubly good—Yud-Gimmel Tammuz, the day of redemption of my revered father-in-law, the Rebbe. This is also true in action; that is, it marks the completion of the matter. The great significance of sealing and completing a mitzvah is also understood from what is written in Yerushalmi Rosh Hashanah at the end of chapter one: that it is even greater than Shabbos—see there. It is also understood from its context regarding "le-motav" (Rosh Hashanah 18a), and since positive measure outweighs negative measure, etc.

And since these days, when they are recalled, are also enacted every year, it is certain that a farbrengen at this auspicious time arouses a reflection and drawing down similar to those influences and flows which occurred then at this time.

May it be G‑d's will that these influences and blessings continue throughout the coming days for us in both spiritual and material matters—especially regarding the development of the holy institutions named after the celebrant. All those who participate in such special farbrengens are assured additional blessing and success even in their personal matters and those of their families.
