Shalom u'Vrachah!

After the longest break, your letter from the 9th of Tammuz was received, in which you write about your good desire to visit here during the auspicious days of Elul and the upcoming Rosh Hashanah. Even though you do not specify this explicitly, it seems that this is with the full agreement of your wife, the Rebbetzin—may she live and be well. Surely you are also aware of the request in such matters that all such travels should be for the benefit of the public. If this is indeed so, then may it be G‑d's will that your visit will be at a good and successful time, with inner goodness and revealed goodness, with broad-mindedness and proper health.

You do not mention in your letter anything about suitable preparations for celebrating Yud-Beis and Yud-Gimmel Tammuz. May it be G‑d's will that also in this regard there will be fulfillment of Torah's ruling—a strong presumption that a shliach fulfills his mission—and indeed all Chabad members are emissaries of our Rebbeim Nesi'im, the ones who brought about this redemption celebration: to illuminate the world with a mitzvah candle and Torah light; and "the luminary within Torah," which is the inner dimension of Torah—as our Rebbe Nasi stated in his letter for the first year celebration of redemption.
