נכונה ההצעה שיקבל משרת מורה בישיבה קטנה, שהרי בודאי כוונתו למוסד חינוך על טהרת הקדש, ואם כן הרי זוהי פרנסה גשמית ורוחניות גם יחד, ובודאי יסתדר באופן שיוסיף בהקביעות שלו בלימוד תורת הנגלה וחסידות, ואין לך דבר העומד בפני הרצון, ובפרט כשישפיע גם בסביבתו להחזקת היהדות והפצתה שאז הרי זכות הרבים מסייעתו, ובודאי למותר להאריך שתכלית הפצה זו הוא כהוראת הסדרה בהעלותך את הנרות אלו נשמות ישראל כמבואר בלקוטי תורה לרבנו הזקן, וכהוראת חז"ל עד שתהא שלהבת עולה מאלי', וק"ל.

In response to your letter from Tuesday of Parshat Behaalotecha. The suggestion that you accept a position as a teacher in a small yeshiva is correct, since your intention is surely for an educational institution dedicated to holiness. In that case, this is both material and spiritual livelihood. Certainly, you will arrange things so that you can increase your regular study of the revealed Torah and Chassidus—there is nothing that stands in the way of willpower, especially when you also influence your surroundings to strengthen and spread Judaism. Then the merit of the many assists you. It is surely unnecessary to elaborate that the ultimate purpose of this spreading is as taught by the section Behaalotecha: "When you kindle the lamps"—these are the souls of Israel, as explained in Likkutei Torah by our master the Alter Rebbe—and as our Sages teach: until the flame rises on its own. This should suffice.
