לאחרי הפסק הכי ארוך נתקבל מכתבו מכ"ד אייר, ונעם לי לקרות בו מהתפתחות התלמוד תורה ההוספה במספר התלמידים, ובודאי ישנה הוספה גם באיכות הוספה בהלימודים שלהם.
ובודאי למותר לעוררו אשר בכל הזמנים צריך הי' להיות לימוד תורתנו בלשון חז"ל תלמוד המביא לידי מעשה, ועאכו"כ בתקופתנו זו, וזה בא (בסגנון המשנה) כשיראתו, הלימוד בעניני יר"ש, קודמת לחכמתו. מובן שאין הכוונה לכמות הזמן, כי לפעמים רואים כי לימוד אפילו של רגעים אחדים בענין של יראת שמים (או גם לא לימוד אלא דברים אחדים הנאמרים בחום ובהתלהבות (היציק)) משפיע על התלמיד למשך כמה וכמה זמן.
במ"ש אודות תלמיד אשר יש לו חבורה אינה יהודית, ואיך להתייחס לזה.
הנה ברוב הפעמים רואים אשר אם ממציאים להאמור חברים יהודים, הרי בדרך ממילא מרחיקו זה מחברים כהנ"ל, והרי כיון שהוא בין תלמידיו, בטח ישנה אפשרית להשתדל ששאר התלמידים יתקרבו אליו יותר ויותר ובמילא לא יהי' זמנו פנוי לחברים אחרים ולהנ"ל בפרט.
במ"ש אודות החובות שיש לו לפרוע ושבאם הי' יכול ללות סכום, הי' זה מקיל עליו - הנה אינו מפרט המינימום של הסכום שיכול לעזור לו. ובכל אופן מהנכון שיתייעץ עם אנ"ש שעל אתר בהנוגע להאמור.

After the longest pause, your letter from the 24th of Iyar was received. I was pleased to read about the development of the Talmud Torah—the increase in the number of students—and surely there is also an increase in quality, an enhancement in their studies.
It is certainly unnecessary to remind you that at all times our Torah study should be—as our Sages say—learning that leads to action. All the more so in our era; as stated (in the style of the Mishnah), when his awe precedes his wisdom—learning about fear of Heaven comes before wisdom. Clearly this does not refer to the quantity of time spent, for sometimes even a few moments learning about fear of Heaven (or even not learning but saying a few words with warmth and enthusiasm) can influence a student for a long time.
You wrote about a student who has non-Jewish friends and asked how to address this. In most cases, if you provide him with Jewish friends, this will naturally distance him from such company. Since he is among your students, there is surely an opportunity to encourage other students to draw closer to him more and more; thus he will not have free time for other friends—especially those mentioned above.
You wrote about debts you need to repay and that if you could borrow a sum it would ease things—but you did not specify the minimum amount that would help you. In any case, it is proper for you to consult with local Anash regarding this matter.
With blessings for the festival in the customary language used by my revered father-in-law, the Rebbe: "To receive the Torah with joy and inwardness," and for good news in all matters about which you write.
