We acknowledge receipt of your letter from the 16th of Iyar, in which Reb P. writes about the farbrengens of recent months. May it be Hashem's will that each individual increases their good activities in spreading Judaism in general and the wellsprings of Chassidus in particular.

Especially as explained regarding "In what should one be more careful," in Iggeres HaKodesh of our Alter Rebbe at the end of section 7, that one must be careful, and as interpreted by my revered father-in-law, the Rebbe, to shine light in that mitzvah. In most cases we see with our own eyes which mitzvah requires extra care. In the case of many among Anash, it is already clear that their special area is education al taharas hakodesh (pure Torah education) in the institution of my revered father-in-law the Rebbe and his father the Rebbe (the Rashab), may their merit protect us.

From this it is understood—and also obvious—that here there must be, as stated in the aforementioned Iggeres HaKodesh, preference and extra care and zeal with even greater strength—double and redoubled—beyond the care given to other mitzvos. When one contemplates the zeal for other mitzvos as explained in Iggeres HaKodesh section 21, and then how much more so this preference etc., as all those expressions state—without doubt their efforts and involvement at Yeshivas Toras Emes will increase manifold. As explained elsewhere: since we were commanded regarding this matter, certainly we were given the possibility and strength for it; all that remains is their will to actualize it.

May it be Hashem's will that they also influence their friends in this holy work so that they too reflect deeply within themselves; consequently, the holy institution will grow both quantitatively and qualitatively with outstanding success.

Although generally success (see Torah Or end of Parshas Vayeshev) is above nature, nevertheless it is understood from what is explained about "Itaruta d'Le'eila," that even though it comes from Above it depends greatly on how much we arouse ourselves from below. All these details apply also regarding success. May you have only good news soon—complete good—in all matters mentioned above.

Summary

The Rebbe teaches that true success in education and spreading Chassidus comes through extraordinary effort combined with Divine help. By increasing zeal and influencing others to join this mission, one's impact grows both spiritually and practically.
