במענה להודעתו מיום ההולדת שלו.
הנה יהי רצון שעוד רבות בשנים, שנים טובות מלאות תוכן של תורה ומצות, יודיע מדי שנה ע"ד יום ההולדת, ומתאים לציווי תוה"ק תורת חיים, אשר מעלה בקדש והולך מחיל אל חיל בהאמור.
וכיון שכל אחד מישראל נצטוה על זה, בודאי שלכל אחד נתנו הכחות למילוי הציווי.
ובפרט אשר זכה ונתמנה ע"י כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר נשיא ישראל בכגון סגנון המזמור תהלים אותו מתחיל לאמר בכל יום, תבחר ותקרב גו' היכלך[1], לכהן פאר בבית המדרש ליובאוויטש דליובאוויטש.
ובעת ימי הספירה אשר כמבואר בדא"ח סופרים יום אחר יום באופן שאין הימים הראשונים נופלים ח"ו אלא מצטרפים לאחרים להיות נספרים לא סיפור דברים (לחוד) אלא שנהרין ונצצין (זהר ח"ב קלו, ב) ומובן הענין ממ"ש הסידור ד"ה השמים מספרים בארוכה.
הנה כאו"א מאתנו יזכה ויצליח בתכ"י שיהיו ימיו מצטרפים נהרין ונצצין בנצוצין דנקודה עליונה כלשון הזהר שם הולך ואור על ידי נר מצוה תורה אור ומאור שבתורה זוהי תורת החסידות ועניני'.
בברכה לבשו"ט ולאורך ימים ושנים טובות בכל הפי'.

In response to your message about your birthday: May it be Hashem's will that for many more years—good years filled with Torah and mitzvah content—you will notify me each year about your birthday. This is in accordance with the commandment of our holy Torah, a Torah of life, which instructs us to ascend in holiness and go from strength to strength as stated above.
And since every Jew is commanded regarding this matter, certainly everyone has been given the abilities to fulfill this command. Especially since you have merited and were appointed by my revered father-in-law, the Rebbe—Nasi of Israel—in such a manner as described in the Psalm you begin reciting each day: "Fortunate is he whom You choose and bring near... Your holy sanctuary," to serve with distinction in the Lubavitch Beis Midrash in Lubavitch.
And during these days of Sefirah—as explained in Chassidus—we count day after day so that the earlier days are not diminished (Heaven forbid), but rather join with the others to be counted—not merely as a recounting of events but as shining and sparkling (Zohar II 136b). The idea is further explained at length in the Siddur on "The heavens declare."
Thus, each one of us should merit and succeed so that our days join together—shining and sparkling with sparks from the supreme point—as stated in Zohar there: "going and shining" through "a mitzvah candle and Torah light," and the illumination within Torah—that is Chassidus and its teachings.
Blessings for good news and for long life—many good years—in every sense.
