בעתו קבלתי מכתבה, ונתעכב המענה שלי, מפני רצוני להוודע יותר ברור בהנוגע לסידור הלימודים בביתם, ונעם לי לקבל ידיעות אשר השיעור נלמד בקביעות ובהמשך ובאותם הענינים בם למדו בחיים חיותו של בעלה הרב ע"ה[2] להבדיל בין חיים וכו'.
והרי זוהי המעלה הכי גדולה בקורת רוח שגורמים לנשמת נפטר כשממשיכים באותן ד' אמות כפשוטו ובד' אמות רוחנים, ז.א. המשפחה בכללה ובני הבית ביחוד, באותו הכיוון הגורם עליית נשמה בעולם האמת.
ויהי רצון אשר עוד רבות בשנים תרווה רוב נחת מכל יו"ח שי', נחת מתאים לתקותיו של הנפטר, ולאורך ימים ושנים טובות תבשר טוב בהנוגע לעצמה ובהנוגע להם.
בטח נודע לה שבסוף קיץ העבר שלח בעלה הרב ע"ה ביכלעך חסידות לכאן, ותקותי שאוכל בקרוב להקציב מזמני לעבור על תוכן ביכלעך אלו, ובאם ימצאו בהם ענינים הראוים להדפיסם, שעדיין לא נתפרסמו, יוזכר בההדפסה שזהו לעילוי נשמת הנפטר ומהביכלעך ששלח ע"מ לפרסם את הראוי לפרסום.
בברכה לבריאות ולארך[3] ימים ושנים טובות.

I received your letter in due time, and my response was delayed because I wanted to become more clearly informed regarding the arrangement of study in your home. I was pleased to receive news that the lesson is being studied regularly and continuously in the same subjects that were learned during the lifetime of your husband, the Rav a"h (may he rest in peace), may there be a distinction between the living, etc.
This is indeed the greatest merit and satisfaction one can bring to a departed soul—when one continues in those very four cubits literally and in four spiritual cubits; that is, when the family as a whole and especially the members of the household continue in the same direction that brings about an elevation of soul in the World of Truth.
May it be G‑d's will that for many more years you will derive abundant nachas from all your children sheyichyu, nachas befitting the hopes of the departed, and for long and good years you should have good news regarding yourself and them.
Surely you are aware that at the end of last summer your husband, the Rav a"h, sent here booklets of Chassidus. I hope to soon allocate time to review their content, and if there are matters within them worthy of publication that have not yet been published, it will be noted in print that this is for the elevation of his soul and from among those booklets he sent with intent to publicize what is worthy of publication.
