במענה על מכתבו, בו כותב אודות חוסר השלוה הנפשית וכו',
והנה מבואר בכמה מקומות אשר ענינים אלו באים מצד הלעומת זה, זאת אומרת ג"כ שאין הם בנפש האדם פנימה, אלא באים מחוצה לה, שמזה מובן שביכולת האדם להפטר מהם ולבטלם כליל, אף, שאין כל האישים ואין כל המצבים שוים, שלכן אין שוה גם כן הזמן הנדרש על זה. והדרך המתאימה והצד השוה בכל דרכים אלו הוא ההתבוננות אשר כל אחד ואחד מאתנו חלק הוא מהחברה ומהסביבה שלו, ומוכרח שיהי' לא רק מקבל אלא גם משפיע או יותר נכון שיהי' בעיקר משפיע ומקבל רק בבחי' טפל, וכיון שעיקר האדם הוא הנפש והצורה שלו ולא הגוף והחומר, מובן גם כן שעיקר ההשפעה היא בהנוגע לרוחניות הסביבה וצורתה על ידי שמחדירים אותה רוח חיים של תורתנו תורת חיים שהיא בבת אחת גם תכלית הרוחניות גם נותנת חיים לגשם ולחומר אפילו במדריגות היותר תחתונות ושפלות, וכסיפור רז"ל הידוע, אשר דוקא לאלו שיצר הרע יש בהם, למצרים ערות הארץ ירדו ניתנה תורה, ולא למלאכי השרת (שבת פח, ב) וכיון שזהו עיקר תפקיד בריאת האדם, מובטח לו שיצליח בזה על ידי השתדלות המתאימה ובלבד שלא ירפו ידיו אם נפגש בקישוים ואם אין ההצלחה במאה אחוז בפעם הראשונה שמנסה או אפילו גם בפעם השני' והשלישית וסוף ההצלחה לבוא.
וכשתוקע מחשבתו בחוזק כלשון רבנו הזקן במילוי תפקיד זה מתגלים לפניו אופקים רחבים של פעולות נעלות ומתגדל פי כמה סיפוק הנפשי שלו בראותו מטרה כה נשגבה בחייו עלי אדמות, ולא עוד אלא שנתוסף תוכן פנימי גם בעניניו הפרטים של ב"ב ואפילו שלו, שהרי דוקא ע"י צירוף כל זה יחד תתרבה ההצלחה במילוי עיקר תפקידו ולראות שכרו בעמלו - ע"י הגברת הצורה על החומר, הרוח על הגשם, הנפש על הגוף, הניצוץ אלקי שבתוכו על כל מה שמסביב לו.
יש להאריך בכל האמור כהנה וכהנה ובפרט בהתאם לסביבתו של כל אחד בהתאם לכשרונותיו אופן חינוכו וכו', אבל כנ"ל האמור הוא צד השוה שבכל אחד, ותקותי אשר לדכוותי' ישמש האמור נקודה אותה יפתח בהתאם לסביבתו ועניניו הוא, ואחכה לבשו"ט.

In response to your letter in which you write about your lack of inner peace, etc., it is explained in several places that such matters come from the 'other side,' meaning they are not truly internal to the person but come from outside. This shows that a person has the ability to rid themselves of these feelings and nullify them completely. Of course, not all people or situations are the same, so the time required for this also varies.
The appropriate path and common denominator in all these approaches is to contemplate that each of us is part of our community and environment. One must not only be a recipient but also an influencer—or more accurately, primarily an influencer and only secondarily a recipient. Since the essence of a person is their soul and form, not their body and matter, it follows that the main influence should be on the spiritual aspect of one's environment by infusing it with the spirit of our Torah, the Torah of life. Torah is both the ultimate spirituality and gives vitality even to the lowest levels of materiality.
As our Sages tell us, specifically those who had an evil inclination—those who descended into Egypt, 'the nakedness of the land'—were given the Torah, not the ministering angels (Shabbat 88b). Since this is man's primary purpose in creation, he is assured success through proper effort—as long as he does not lose heart when facing difficulties or if success does not come one hundred percent on his first or even second or third attempt; ultimately success will come.
When one firmly sets their mind—using the words of Rabbeinu HaZaken—to fulfilling this mission, broad horizons for elevated activities open up before them. Their sense of satisfaction grows many times over as they see such a lofty goal in their earthly life. Moreover, this adds inner meaning even to one's personal affairs and family matters. It is precisely by combining all these elements that one increases success in fulfilling their main mission and sees reward for their efforts—by strengthening form over matter, spirit over physicality, soul over body, and the Divine spark within over everything around them.
There is much more to elaborate on this topic—especially as it applies to each person's environment, talents, education, etc.—but as mentioned above, this principle applies equally to everyone. I hope that for you as well this will serve as a point from which you can develop further according to your circumstances and needs. I await good news.
