במענה על מכתבו בו כותב עוד הפעם בהנוגע לשאלה לאיזה ישיבה יסע ללמוד, ושרוצה לנצל הזמן לראות היהדות הגדולה וכו'.
כבר כתבתי לו, לדעתי שיסע ללמוד בישיבת תומכי תמימים בברונא, ונוסף על שזהו ביכולתו מפני ההוצאות, הנה עוד זאת והוא העיקר שבכדי כמו שכותב הוא, לא לעזוב ח"ו את הדרך הישר, העצה לזה לא שיראה היהדות הגדולה אלא לקבל לתוכו מדה גדולה של יראת שמים וכמאמר המשנה מי שיראתו קודמת לחכמתו חכמתו מתקיימת, ותקותי חזקה שבאם יסע לתומכי תמימים דברונא וילמוד שם בהתמדה ושקידה ויתנהג מתאים לסדרי הישיבה, יקבל פעולה האמורה.
בברכת אשר נותן התורה בורא העולם ומנהיגו ינחהו בדרך הטובה לפניו כאמור.
ובפרט בקשר עם יום הולדתו - ובטח נהג במנהגי יום זה - שתהי' שנת הצלחה אצלו בגו"ר.

In response to your letter in which you write once again regarding the question of which yeshiva you should go to study, and that you wish to use this time to see 'great Judaism,' etc. I have already written to you my opinion that you should go study at the Tomchei Temimim Yeshiva in Bruna. In addition to this being within your means financially, there is an even more important reason: as you write, not to G‑d forbid stray from the straight path. The advice for this is not merely to witness 'great Judaism,' but rather to absorb within yourself a great measure of awe of Heaven, as it says in the Mishnah: 'One whose awe precedes his wisdom, his wisdom endures.' My strong hope is that if you go to Tomchei Temimim in Bruna and study there diligently and behave according to the yeshiva's order, you will achieve this effect.
With blessings that the Giver of the Torah, Creator and Leader of the world, will guide you on the good path before Him as stated. Especially in connection with your birthday—and surely you observed the customs of this day—may it be a year of success for you in all good.
