במענה על מכתבו מב' כסלו, הוא חדש הנסים והגאולה, בו שואל באיזה לימוד דא"ח יוסיף.
והנה בכלל ע"ז קאי מאמר רז"ל לעולם ילמוד אדם במקום שלבו חפץ, ומהנכון שיהי' קשור זה עם הזמן, כוונתי לפתגם רבנו הזקן, מען דארף לעבען מי דער צייט, שפירושו עם הסדרה של השבוע (כמבואר בשיחת כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר זצוקללה"ה נבג"מ זי"ע). ועד"ז קשור בימי הסגולה והימים טובים שבזמן זה, ויש להוסיף על זה ג"כ השיעור תניא הנלמד ומאמרי דא"ח הנדפסים בזמנים אלו.
בודאי ינצלו ימי הסגולה דימי חדש כסלו בכלל ויום הבהיר י"ט כסלו ביחוד.

In response to your letter from the 2nd of Kislev, the month of miracles and redemption, in which you ask in which area of Chassidus study you should increase.
In general, this is addressed by our Sages' saying: "A person should always study where his heart desires." It is appropriate that this be connected with the time; I mean the Alter Rebbe's saying: "One must live with the times," meaning with the weekly Torah portion (as explained in the talk of my father-in-law, the Rebbe zatzal nishmaso Eden). Similarly, it is connected to auspicious days and festivals at this time. One should also add to this the daily Tanya lesson and Chassidus discourses printed for these times.
Certainly you will utilize the auspicious days of Kislev in general and especially the bright day of Yud Tes Kislev.
