און בפרט די אלע וועלכע זיינען שייך צום בעל שם טוב, תלמידו הרב המגיד הגדול ותלמידו וממלא מקומו רבנו הזקן בעל התניא והשולחן ערוך, וואס די באפרייאונג פון זיין מאסר גייען מיר פייערען די ענדע וואך, י"ט כסלו, האט מען א באזונדער הילף פון מלמעלה אין ענינים פון תורה ומצוות, ווי עס [איז] באוואוסט דער פסק דין פון בית דין של מעלה, ווי עס האט דאס דערציילט דער זון פון רבנו הזקן, כ"ק אדמו"ר האמצעי, אז בגלל המסירות נפש הלזו (של רבנו הזקן) על תורת החסידות, פסקו בבית דין של מעלה, אשר בכל ענין של תורה יראת שמים ומדות טובות תהי' יד מקושריו והולכי בעקבותיו על העליונה.
בבקשה איבערגעבען ברכתי, ברכת חג הגאולה צו יעדערען פון די חברי שובה ישראל, און אויך זיי זאלען קענען אנזאגען בקרוב וועגען נצחונות פון הפצת תורה, יהדות וחסידות, עד שיגיעו גם חוצה

In addition to the greetings I receive from you and also from the other members of Shuvah Yisrael through their letters to Anash here, I was especially pleased by your writing of the good news about the strengthening of Torah classes—of Torah study for both young and old. May Hashem help that you should be able to fulfill without difficulty the will of the Creator to spread Yiddishkeit, Torah, and mitzvos in ever-greater and more numerous circles. Especially as we approach the days of Chanukah—which are days of miracles and wonders—may it be fulfilled according to our liturgy (as it was) "BaYamim HaHem (in those days) BaZman HaZeh (in this time)."
And especially all those who are connected to the Baal Shem Tov, his student the great Maggid, and his student and successor our Rebbe the Alter Rebbe, author of Tanya and Shulchan Aruch—whose liberation from imprisonment we will celebrate at week's end on Yud Tes Kislev—receive special help from Above in matters of Torah and mitzvos. As is known from the ruling of the Heavenly Court—as told by the son of our Rebbe the Alter Rebbe, Admor HaEmtza'i—that because of this self-sacrifice (of our Rebbe the Alter Rebbe) for Toras HaChassidus, it was decreed in Heaven that in every matter of Torah, fear of Heaven, and good character traits, his mekusharim (those connected to him) and those who follow in his path will have the upper hand.
Please convey my blessing—the blessing of Chag HaGeulah—to each member of Shuvah Yisrael. Also ask them to soon report victories in spreading Torah, Judaism, and Chassidus until it reaches even further outward.
Enclosed is a booklet for Yud Tes Kislev. Hopefully you will acquaint many with its content; the merit of the public depends on him.
