... דא"ג סיפרו לי ענין מוזר וגם מבהיל; והוא אשר לימי חג הפסח שעברו, האט מען פאנאנדערגעשיקט את התלמידים שבאו מכאן לבע"ב ועל דרך המנהג פון עסען טעג, ואף שבמכתב כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר (במבוא לקונטרס עץ חיים) מפליא בהנוגע להנהגה זו להבית שם אכלו די ישיבה בחורים טעג; אבל מובן שלא היתה זו כוונתי ובטח גם לא כוונת התלמידים שנסעו מכאן (אפילו את"ל שהכשרות אצל איש פרטי היינו הך כהכשרות דתו"ת היינו מוסד צבורי שצ"ל מתאים לרצון נשיאנו מייסדי תו"ת) ועאכו"כ לא דהורי התלמידים וקרוביהם וד"ל, ויה"ר שבכח המפליא לעשות הרי גם זה יהי' לטובה, אבל מסופקני אם סומכין על הנס בכגו"ד.

By the way, I was told something strange and also alarming: that during the past Pesach holiday, the students who came from here were sent out to private homes according to the custom of eating 'teg' days. Even though in a letter from my father-in-law, the Rebbe (in the introduction to Kuntres Etz Chaim), he speaks highly regarding this practice of having yeshivah students eat 'teg' days in people's homes; nevertheless, it is understood that this was not my intention, and certainly not the intention of the students who traveled from here (even if one would say that kashrus at a private individual is equivalent to the kashrus at Tomchei Temimim—which is a public institution that must conform to the will of our Nesi'im, founders of Tomchei Temimim). All the more so, this was not the intention of the students' parents and relatives—and this should be clear. May it be G‑d's will that with His wondrous power even this will turn out for good; but I am doubtful whether one should rely on miracles in such matters.
I await good news with details and sign off with blessings for Chag HaGeulah.
