נאכן לאנגען איבעררייס - חאטש איך באקום גרוסן וועגען אייך און אייער משפחה שיחיו - בין איך געווען צופרידען צו באקומען אייער בריף פון עש"ק ויחי, אין וועלכען איר שרייבט אויך וועגען אייער צופרידענהייט פון דער ענטוויקלונג פון דער ישיבה אהלי יוסף יצחק אין מעלבורן, און זיכער בריינגט די שמחה לויטן מאמר החסידים, שמחה פורץ גדר, אויף צו מוסיף זיין מיט נאך מער השתדלות צו פארשטארקען און פארגרעסערען די ישיבה, וועלכעס איז א מקור ברכה פאר אלע אידען אין מעלבורן און פאר דער גאנצער מדינה סיי בגשמיות און סיי ברוחניות. על דרך ווי די תורה דערציילט אונז, וואָס מעשה אבות איז סימן לבנים, אז איידער יעקב אבינו איז געפאָרען אין מצרים, ואת יהודה שלח - להורות לפניו גושנה, זאָגען רבותינו ז"ל, אז דאס איז צוגרייטען דאָרטען א ישיבה, און דורך דעם האט יעקב אבינו דער גרינדער פון ישיבה, געהאט דאס בעסטע לעבען דוקא אין מצרים, ווי עס איז באוואוסט די שאלה אין דעם וואָס עס האט געפרעגט כ"ק אדמו"ר הצמח צדק בא זיין זיידען כ"ק רבנו הזקן בעל התניא, און וואס ער האט עם געענטפערט (זעה לוח היום יום עמוד יב).
מיט א וואונש און האָפנונג צו באקומען פון אייך נאָך פילע יאָרען בשורות טובות בכל הנ"ל און אויך בשורות טובות בהנוגע צו זיך און אייער גאנצער משפחה סיי בגשמיות און סיי ברוחניות,
און דער זכות פון דעם בעל ההילולא - וועלכע וועט זיין ביום ב' יו"ד שבט הבע"ל - כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר זצוקללה"ה נבג"מ זי"ע אויף וועמענס נאמען עס ווערט אנגערופען דער מוסד הק', יעמוד לו ולב"ב בגשמיות וברוחניות.

Indeed, after a long interruption—although I do receive regards about you and your family, may they live—I was pleased to receive your letter from Erev Shabbat Vayechi, in which you also write about your satisfaction with the development of the Oholei Yosef Yitzchak Yeshivah in Melbourne. Certainly, this joy—according to the saying of the chassidim, "Simchah Poretz Geder" (joy breaks through boundaries)—will bring even more effort to strengthen and expand the Yeshivah, which is a source of blessing for all Jews in Melbourne and for the entire country, both materially and spiritually.
This is similar to what the Torah tells us—that Maaseh Avos Siman L'Banim (the actions of our forefathers are a sign for their children): before Yaakov Avinu went down to Egypt, "Ve'es Yehudah Shalach—Lehoros Lefanav Goshna" (and he sent Yehudah ahead to direct him to Goshen). Our Sages say this was to establish a yeshivah there. Through this, Yaakov Avinu—the founder of yeshivah—had his best years specifically in Egypt. It is well known that this question was asked by the tzt"z of his grandfather Rabbeinu HaZaken Baal HaTanya, and what he answered him (see Hayom Yom p.12).
With wishes and hope to receive from you many more years of good news regarding all of the above—and also good news concerning yourself and your entire family both materially and spiritually. And may the merit of the Baal HaHilula—whose yahrzeit will be on Monday, 10 Shevat approaching—the Previous Rebbe zatzal on whose name this holy institution is called—stand by him and his household both materially and spiritually.

Summary
The Rebbe teaches that joy in spiritual growth leads to breaking boundaries and greater success. Strengthening Torah institutions brings blessings not only to individuals but also to entire communities in all aspects of life.
