In response to your letter from the thirtieth of Nissan, which is Erev Rosh Chodesh Ziv, as well as those from previous years—7th and 9th of Nissan—I was pleased to read in your letter that studies have begun at an auspicious and successful time. May it be G‑d's will that the saying of my father-in-law, the Rebbe—who was the first and last active administrator of Yeshivas Tomchei Temimim Lubavitch—be fulfilled: "It should be a good and joyful summer."

The Jewish people are one nation on earth, uniting materiality and spirituality, becoming unified with absolute unity. As is known regarding creation: below Atzilus, "Lo ihu v'chiyohi chad v'lo ihu v'garmehi chad" (He is not one with His life-force nor one with His essence), but man was created to serve his Creator—to make for Him a nest and dwelling so that "ihu v'chiyohi v'garmehi chad" (He is one with His life-force and essence) in this lowest world.

I was pleased by what you wrote about your successful meeting with ... May it be G‑d's will that your words go forth from the heart and enter into the heart to have their effect. And may I be blessed by their blessing—as is known from my father-in-law, the Rebbe's saying that he would often write or say in a pan: "That it should affect me and those who hear."

These days I received a letter from Harav Shneur Zalman Levitin, and I saw this as an opportunity to again emphasize the great value of responsibility and greatest merit in working with the Avrechim from Morocco. No matter how much is spoken about this—and all the more so when it comes to action (which are like letters of writing)—it does not at all encompass the true value of this matter. I asked him to convey this message to other participants in this holy work, and he will surely fulfill my request. May these words also be accepted and have their effect...
