נעם לי לקבל מכתבו מבשר טוב, אשר החתונה היתה בשעה טובה ומוצלחת וכדבעי בכל הפרטים, ויה"ר מהשי"ת אשר יקוימו בהם כל הברכות אשר ברכו אותם במילואם, וע"פ מרז"ל אשר כל שמטיבים לו הוא לאורך ימים, הרי בודאי גם בשאר הענינים תאיר ההצלחה מני' אליהם ובכלל זה גם הפרטים שמזכיר במכתבו, ובודאי למותר לעוררו על המבואר באגה"ק לרבנו הזקן ד"ה קטנתי, אשר בכל חסד וחסד שהקב"ה עושה לאדם צריך להיות שפל רוח במאד כי היא קרבת אלקים ביתר שאת מלפנים, שזה מביא בהתבוננות קלה להוספה בתורה ומצות ע"פ המבואר בתניא פרק ל"ב כיון שהעיקר אצלו הרוחניות וכו' וע"פ המבואר שם שזהו פועל בהענין דאהבת ישראל הרי בודאי יוסיף בפעולתו והשפעתו על חבריו לקרבם לקיום מצות מעשיות וליהדות בכלל והשי"ת יצליחו.

בנוגע לשאלתו אודות מקום התיישבות. הנה מובן שצ"ל במקום שם דרים מקיימי תורה ומצות שהרי גם האויר משפיע.

I was pleased to receive your letter with good news, that the wedding took place at an auspicious and successful time as it should in all details. May it be the will of Hashem that all the blessings given to you be fulfilled in their entirety. As our Sages say, when one is treated well it is for long life, so certainly success will shine upon you in other matters as well—including those details you mention in your letter.
It is surely unnecessary to remind you of what is explained in Igeres HaKodesh by our master the Alter Rebbe (in the discourse beginning "Katonti")—that with every kindness Hashem does for a person, one must become extremely humble, for it is a greater closeness to G‑d than before. This, upon even slight contemplation, leads to an increase in Torah and mitzvos as explained in Tanya chapter 32, since spirituality is what matters most to him, etc. And as explained there, this also affects Ahavas Yisrael—so certainly you will increase your efforts and influence on your friends to bring them closer to practical mitzvah observance and Judaism in general. May Hashem grant you success.

P.S. Regarding your question about where to settle: It is understood that it should be in a place where people who observe Torah and mitzvos live—for even the atmosphere has an effect.
