נצטערתי לשמוע מפטירת אשתו,
והמקום ינחם אותם בתוך שאר אבלי ציון וירושלים.
ידוע כי אחד הטעמים מה שתענית חלום מהנה בשבת, הוא דכיון שזהו זמן תענוג, אי אפשר לסבול צער בעולם, ובמילא בטלים על ידי זה כל הדינין כו'
ובאשר היום הוא יום שמחה, יום שמחתו גאולתו ופדות נפשו של כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר, אשר כמו שכותב במכתבו "לא אותי בלבד גאל הקב"ה בי"ב תמוז כי אם גם את כל מחבבי תורתנו הק', שומרי מצוה, וגם את אשר בשם ישראל יכונה", הנה ביום שמחה זה בטח יבטל כל ענין הדינים ומוחין דקטנות וכו', ולא יוסיף לדאבה עוד.

Shalom u'Vrachah!
I was saddened to hear of the passing of your wife. May the Omnipresent comfort you among the mourners of Zion and Jerusalem.
It is known that one reason why a dream fast is effective even on Shabbat is because this is a time of delight; it is impossible to endure suffering in this world at such a time, and therefore all judgments are nullified.
Since today is a day of joy—the day of rejoicing in the redemption and salvation of my revered father-in-law, the Rebbe—as he writes in his letter: "Not only did the Holy One, blessed be He, redeem me on Yud-Beis Tammuz, but also all those who cherish our holy Torah, observe mitzvos, and even those who are called by the name Israel,"—on this day of joy surely all matters of judgment and constricted consciousness are nullified and there will be no more sorrow.
