בעתו קבלתי מכתבו, בו כותב לי מצב רוחו והסברא שהי' אצלו בענין סידורו על להבא, אבל סוף דבר החליט לטובה להשאר בהישיבה ולהמשיך לימודו, ושואל חוות דעתי בזה:
הנה ברור הדבר אשר החלטתו טובה ונכונה במאד, ונכונה לא רק מפני ענין הרוחניות אלא גם בגשמיות, וראינו זה במוחש ובפרט בשנים האחרונות, עד כמה נאמנו דברי רז"ל שאין אדם יודע במה משתכר, והחשבונות שעושים בפרטי פרטיות איך להכין את עצמו לדרכו בחיים, הנה ברובא דרובא אינם מצליחים, וביחוד בנוגע אליו הנה דעתי ברורה אשר הצלחתו וטובתו בגשמיות וברוחניות גם יחד, היא שימשיך בלימודו בישיבת תו"ת בלוד ויספוג בנפשו רוח חסידות ותוקף הדעת תוקף אמיתי (בלי עקשנות ח"ו) הדרוש כ"כ לאיש הישראלי בכל עת בכלל ובפרט בימינו אלה, וגדולה זכות אביו וא"ז למהר הדבר באופן שיכיר ויראה את טובתו בזה במוחש גם בעיני בשר, והשי"ת יזכהו לתלמוד תורה ביראת שמים ובהצלחה כפשוטה, לערנען אסך, פארשטיין גוט, און נעמען גרונטיק ובפנימיות, וזה יהי' ג"כ הצנור והכלי להמשכת כל המצטרך לו ברוחניות ובגשמיות.

I received your letter in due time, in which you describe your state of mind and the reasoning you had regarding arranging your future, but ultimately you made the good decision to remain in yeshiva and continue your studies, and you ask my opinion about this.
It is clear that your decision is very good and correct—not only for spiritual reasons but also materially. We have seen this clearly, especially in recent years: how true are our Sages' words that a person does not know from what he will earn his livelihood. The detailed calculations people make to prepare themselves for their path in life mostly do not succeed. Especially regarding you, my opinion is clear: your success and well-being—both materially and spiritually—lie in continuing your studies at Tomchei Tmimim in Lod and absorbing within yourself the spirit of Chassidus and true strength of mind (without stubbornness, G‑d forbid), which is so necessary for a Jew at all times—especially nowadays. The merit of your father and grandfather is great to hasten matters so that you will recognize and see the goodness of this with your own eyes. May Hashem grant you Torah study with fear of Heaven and straightforward success—to learn much, understand well, and internalize deeply. This will also be the channel and vessel for drawing down everything you need both spiritually and materially.

P.S.: You do not mention anything about your mother—may she live—in your letter; I trust she is well. Please convey to her my blessing for a joyful Shavuos holiday, to receive much nachas—Jewish nachas, Chassidic nachas—from you, together with peace of mind both spiritually and physically.
Summary
The Rebbe teaches that dedicating oneself to Torah study brings both spiritual and material success. Trusting in G‑d's guidance rather than over-planning leads to true fulfillment.
