This matter obviously belongs to the administration of the institution. However, it is clear that the sum is extremely minimal relative to the importance of the matter, and therefore it is contrary to the honor of the departed—implying as if some trickery is being done, etc., due to their difficult situation. But this does not befit one who is now in the World of Truth, where there are no such concerns, etc.
Summary
Memorial donations should reflect true respect for the departed; offering only a token amount diminishes their honor and is not appropriate for someone who has passed on to the World of Truth.
