שלום וברכה!
בנועם רב קבלתי הידיעה על דבר העזר שלו להשלוחים אשר בקשתי אותם להביא ברכות ואיחולים מכמה וכמה מאחינו בני ישראל, אשר מדבר אני כשלוחם, אל אחינו בני ישראל אשר בצה"ל, המגינים על [עם] הקודש בארץ הקודש. וכפי שכתבו לי פעל ועזר להם מר במילוי השליחות והצלחתה, ועשה זה ברצון ובשמחה וכולי.
ואף שמצוה אינה צריכה לנתינת תודה, שהרי זהו ציווי ה' יתברך, מלך מלכי המלכים הקדוש ברוך הוא, על אחת כמה וכמה מצות אהבת ישראל, עידוד רוח של בני ישראל המוסרים נפשם על הגנת עם בני ישראל, על כל פנים עלי חובה נעימה להביע קורת רוחי ושמחתי הלבבית אשר הענין מצא הד נפשי אצל מר ותרגמו למעשה בפועל להצלחת השליחות, אשר בודאי על ידי זה נתוסף בעידוד רוח של עוד אחד וכמה וכמה מבני ישראל הן בכמות והן באיכות.
ויהי רצון אשר תמיד כל הימים ינצל אפשריות שלו ויכלתו בעניני אהבת ישראל, ובפרט בענין
מצות
תפילין, אשר בשים לב לתפקידו החשוב והאחראי בודאי לא נצרך אריכות בשטח מצוות המעשיות בכלל ובסגולת מצות תפילין במיוחד,

בכמה וכמה מקומות בתורתנו תורת חיים, ויעשה זה מתוך שמחה וטוב לבב, והשי"ת יצליחו.

With great pleasure I received the news about your assistance to the shluchim whom I requested to bring blessings and good wishes from many of our fellow Jews—on whose behalf I speak—to our brothers in the IDF who defend the holy nation in the Holy Land.
As they wrote to me, you acted and helped them fulfill their mission successfully, doing so willingly and joyfully, etc.
Even though a mitzvah does not require thanks—since it is a command of Hashem, King of kings, the Holy One blessed be He—how much more so regarding the mitzvah of Ahavas Yisrael and uplifting the spirit of Jews who risk their lives to protect our people. Nevertheless, I feel it is my pleasant duty to express my heartfelt satisfaction and joy that this matter resonated with you and was translated into practical action for the success of the mission. Surely this has further encouraged even more Jews both quantitatively and qualitatively.
May it be G‑d's will that you always use your opportunities and abilities for matters of Ahavas Yisrael, especially regarding the mitzvah of tefillin. Considering your important and responsible position, there is certainly no need to elaborate on practical mitzvos in general or on the special quality of tefillin in particular—as explained in many places in our Torah, Toras Chaim—and may you do so with joy and gladness of heart. May Hashem grant you success.
