Certainly it is unnecessary to add that one of the conditions for defense is that all IDF personnel should be healthy—literally healthy in body and also healthy in soul. As the verse explicitly states: 'Hashem Elokecha Mithalech Bekerev Machanecha LeHatzilecha ULetet Oyvecha Lefanecha VeHaya Machanecha Kadosh' ("The L‑rd your G‑d walks in the midst of your camp to save you and give your enemies before you; therefore your camp shall be holy").
