חכמינו ז"ל, וואָס איז אויך אַ פסק-דין – "אם לא עכשיו אימתי?" וואָס דערמיט איז געמיינט די יונגע יאָרן, ווען מען קען שטייגן אין לערנען תורה. און אין דעם זיינען פאַראַן צוויי טעמים: ערשטנס, איז דער מוח מסוגל צו אַבזאָרבירן בעסער און טיפער די הייליגע און איידעלע ענינים פון תורה, ווי שפּעטער בשעת דער מוח איז אַ געוויסע צייט געווען פאַרטאָן אין אַנדערע זאַכן, אפילו ענינים פון היתר, אָבער דאָך ענינים של רשות, וואָס דאָס איז גאָר אַן אַנדער מציאות ווי די מציאות פון תורה. און געוויס פאַר איינעם וואָס לערנט אין אַ ישיבה איז ניט נויטיג קיין אריכות אין דעם.
צווייטנס, איז אין דעם פאַראַן נאָך אַן ענין, על דרך ווי די
גמרא
זאָגט, און אַזוי איז אויך דער דין, אַז פאַרן דאַוונען טאָר מען קיין זאַך ניט טאָן. וואָס איינער פון די טעמים אין דעם איז, אַז אַ זאַך וואָס ווערט געטאָן נאָך דעם דאַוונען איז גאָר אויף אַן אַנדער אופן. צוליב דעם, איז אפילו לערנען
תורה
אויך בעסער נאָך דעם דאַוונען ווי פאַר דעם. דאָס גלייכן אין דיין פאַל, וועלן אַלע ענינים וואָס דאַרפן געטאָן ווערן אַרויסקומען מיט אַ גאַנץ באַזונדערע הצלחה ווען זיי וועלן געטאָן ווערן נאָך דעם לערנען. ספּעציעל אין דיין פאַל, ווען דו דאַרפסט זיך צוגרייטן צום לעבן און איינאָרדנען זיך מיט דער צייט מיט אַ פּאַסנדן שידוך, אאַ"וו. איז דער אמת'ער יסוד אַז אַלץ זאָל זיין אמת גוט, טוב
לשמים
וטוב לבריות, ווען דאָס קומט נאָך דער תורה-צוגרייטונג אין די יאָרן וואָס דאַרפן זיין געווידמעט צום לערנען.
וויסנדיג וועגן דיין משפחה בכלל, און האָבנדיג געטראָפן זיך מיט דיין פאָטער שי' עטלעכע מאָל, ווי אויך מיט דיין מוטער תחי', בין איך זיכער, אַז ניט נאָר וועלן זיי גאָר ניט זיין דאַגעגן אַז דו זאָלסט יעצט פאָרזעצן דיין לערנען אין דער ישיבה און אויף אַ מאַקסימאַלסטע צייט, נאָר וועלן אויך דערמוטיגן דיך אין דעם און וועלן זיין צופרידן פון דעם. און דער אויבערשטער זאָל מצליח זיין, אַז דער פאָרן אין ישיבה לערנען מיט דער דערמוטיקונג פון דיינע עלטערן שי', וועט צוגעבן ברכה והצלחה אויך צו דיינע עלטערן שי', און איך מיין דערמיט אויך פשוט אין עניני פרנסה און געזונד וכו'.

Shalom u'Vrachah!
In response to your letter from the 4th of Elul, it is well known the saying of our Sages of blessed memory—which is also a halachic ruling—'If not now, when?' This refers to one's youthful years, when one can advance in Torah study. There are two reasons for this: First, the mind is more capable of absorbing deeply and thoroughly the holy and refined matters of Torah than later on, when the mind has spent time occupied with other things—even if permissible matters—yet still matters of personal choice, which are a completely different reality from that of Torah. Certainly for someone learning in yeshiva there is no need to elaborate on this.
Secondly, there is another aspect here, similar to what the Gemara says—and so is the law—that before prayer one should not engage in any activity. One reason for this is that something done after prayer is done in a completely different manner. Therefore, even Torah study is better after prayer than before. Similarly in your case: all matters that need to be accomplished will be met with unique success when they are done after learning.
Especially in your case, as you must prepare for life and eventually arrange an appropriate match at the right time. The true foundation for everything being truly good—good for Heaven and good for people—is when it comes after preparation through Torah during these years that must be dedicated to learning.
Knowing your family generally and having met your father several times as well as your mother, I am certain that not only will they not object to you continuing your studies now in yeshiva for as long as possible, but they will also encourage you in this and be pleased by it.
And may the Alm-ghty grant success so that your continued learning in yeshiva with your parents' encouragement will bring blessing and success also to your parents—including simply in matters of livelihood and health etc.
Blessings for good news in all the above; a special greeting and blessing for a complete recovery to your father; and wishes for a good inscription and sealing for all family members in goodness both spiritually and materially.
Summary
Youthful years are uniquely suited for deep Torah study; dedicating this time brings lasting benefit both spiritually and materially. Parental support enhances this journey, leading to greater blessings for all involved.
