I was pleased to receive the news about your study sessions, both in Nigleh of Torah and in Chassidus, which surely fulfill the command to ascend in holiness. My intention is for an increase in study both in quantity and quality, including also an increase in the number of participants.
The command of the Torah is also an empowerment. Moreover, one receives assistance from Above, as our Sages say: "He who comes to purify is helped." It is known that our master the Alter Rebbe emphasized that "to purify" has a double meaning—to purify oneself and to purify others.
All this is especially fitting now as we are in the days of Chanukah, when the law follows Beit Hillel: we increase and go higher with candles and light—and there is no light except for Torah and mitzvot—as it is explicitly stated: "For a mitzvah is a candle and Torah is light."
With honor and blessing for good news in all mentioned above, and for a Chanukah that shines brightly until it illuminates the entire year.
Summary
The Rebbe teaches that just as we increase light each night of Chanukah, so too should we continually increase our efforts in Torah study—both personally and by inspiring others—trusting that G‑d grants us strength and assistance from Above.
