To all participants in the annual dinner for the Oholei Torah educational institution — may Hashem be upon them and grant them life.

The current days of Sefirah are especially auspicious and fitting for the annual undertaking on behalf of the Oholei Torah educational institution. It is well known that the days of Sefirah are a time of preparation for receiving the Torah. These days remind us of that time when the Jews first counted the days and weeks from their liberation from Egypt until Matan Torah at Mount Sinai. With each day they counted so eagerly and full of longing, they drew ever closer to Sinai—not just physically but also spiritually.
And when they finally reached Mount Sinai, they had already completely freed themselves from all undesirable influences and habits that had clung to them during their long exile in Egypt. Yet even then, they did not immediately receive the holy Torah—only after they presented their children as guarantors that the Torah would always be preserved and cherished.
Thus, every year at this time it is emphasized that it is not enough for only the adults to prepare themselves and strengthen their connection with Torah and mitzvos. It is necessary to ensure that the children can fulfill their role as guarantors of the Torah—that they are given the opportunity to learn Torah, value it, and most importantly be permeated with Torah and mitzvos as a foundation for their daily lives.
The Oholei Torah educational institution has established an honorable place in this field of pure Torah education. The institution deserves full support from everyone who understands that "Torah and mitzvos are our life and length of days"—our entire existence and being.
It is hoped that the inspiration and preparations during these Sefirah days will be expressed in full measure and tangible form—in generous support to enable this educational institution to continue and expand its educational activities, so as to create more and more guarantors for the Torah.
The merit of supporting and upholding Torah should stand by each individual and everyone together to be blessed with all blessings—materially and spiritually—as promised in our holy Torah: "It is a tree of life to those who hold fast to it, and its supporters are fortunate."
