ואהבת לרעך כמוך להשפיע על חבריו להיות זהירים בהנחת תפלין – יעמוד לו להתברך בכל המצטרך לו בגשמיות וברוחניות גם יחד.
בודאי ידוע לו שכל בני ישראל נקראים

הצבא מיוסד על המשמעת וקבלת עול לקיים כל צו ופקודה מבלי להרהר אחריהם, כיון שזהו לא רק לטובתו אלא גם לטובת כל חברי פלוגתו וכל אנשי הצבא. וככל הדברים האלה וכמה פעמים ככה הוא מילוי ציווי המפקד הראשי של כל העולם כולו, אבינו שבשמים, מלך מלכי המלכים הקדוש ברוך הוא, אשר נתן לנו ולכל אחד ואחד מאתנו תורת חיים ומצוות
עליהן נאמר
וחי בהם.

Your great merit in having put on tefillin by the Western Wall will surely not only leave its impression on you as every good deed does, but will also inspire you to fulfill this mitzvah every day. Furthermore, you should fulfill the mitzvah of 'VeAhavta L'Rei'acha Kamocha' (Love your fellow as yourself) by influencing your friends to be careful in putting on tefillin—this will stand by you as a source of blessing in all that you need both materially and spiritually.
You surely know that all Jews are called 'Tzevaos Hashem' (the armies of G‑d), and since you are within the army framework in Tzahal (the IDF), it is easy for you to understand this concept. After all, everything about an army is based on discipline and accepting authority—to carry out every command without questioning it—since this is not only for one's own benefit but also for the benefit of one's entire platoon and all members of the army.
In just this way—and even more so—is fulfilling the command of the Supreme Commander of the entire world: our Father in Heaven, King of kings, the Holy One blessed be He, Who gave us each a Torah of life and mitzvos about which it is said 'V'Chai Bahem' (and you shall live by them).
May your friends who are in your platoon in Tzahal be protected by Hashem; may they be whole in body and soul and in all that is theirs; may they have only good news to report.
