Following our conversation regarding the weekly Daf HaShavua shiur via radio and the upcoming Melaveh Malka meal to strengthen this initiative, I hereby repeat my blessing that you succeed in establishing, strengthening, and expanding the shiur both in quantity and quality.
If regarding several revealed things in creation our Sages said they were created for the sake of the Beis HaMikdash of the Holy One Blessed be He, and only because of this does the world use them (see Shabbos 31b), how much more so regarding a hidden and wondrous power in nature that finds its purpose only when it becomes a means, a vessel, and a sanctuary for Him. And from the day the Beis HaMikdash was destroyed, the Holy One Blessed be He has nothing in His world except for four cubits of halachah alone.
And according to our Sages' ruling that "study is great because it leads to action" (see Rambam's introduction to Peirush HaMishnayos on 'He has nothing...'), and "the beginning of wisdom is fear of Hashem," I hope that this radio broadcast will be used to emphasize and strengthen matters of awe of Heaven and actual observance of mitzvos in practice. In conclusion: "The end of the matter—everything having been heard: Fear G‑d and keep His commandments."
