In response to your message about the birth of your daughter—mazal tov! May it be G‑d's will that you raise her together with your wife for Torah, marriage, and good deeds in abundance.

It is known from our Rebbe (the Rebbe Rashab), of blessed memory, that our custom is to say even upon the birth of a daughter: "for Torah, marriage, and good deeds," based on our Sages (Berachos 17a): "How do women merit? By bringing their children to study Torah..."

I have already written to you about a daily Tanya study session (without a vow, as understood)—this is relevant and connected to your previous request for blessing. You were mentioned at the resting place of our Rebbe [the Previous Rebbe] (as our Sages say: "He prostrated himself at his ancestors' graves..."). The channel and vessel for blessing are especially connected to the part of Torah in which one particularly labors—the one who blesses you, etc. And this is clear.

May it be G‑d's will that from now on you will at least keep up with the daily Chitas study (without a vow).
