The Avrech Ephraim Fishel HaKohen, may he live.
Shalom u'Vrachah!
After the longest pause, your letter with the pidyon nefesh and its attachment was received. It is surprising that you do not write anything about your deeds and activities, etc. In any case, I hope you have fixed times for studying our holy Torah—both Nigleh and Chassidus—as our Sages instruct: learning leads to action and strengthens mitzvah observance. Beyond this being a command from the Holy One, blessed be He, it is also the path to receive blessing.
We have just come from the day of good tidings and redemption—Yud-Tes Kislev—and are now in the days of Chanukah, days of light. Furthermore, each day we add more light. This hints that we should learn from this for the entire year regarding "ner mitzvah v'Torah or" (the mitzvah is a lamp and Torah is light).
Blessings for good news in all the above, in the name of the Lubavitcher Rebbe shlita—secretary.
As our Sages teach: Kiddushin 40b.
Summary
The Rebbe encourages maintaining regular Torah study and applying its lessons to daily life. Especially during Hanukkah—a time of increasing light—one should strengthen both learning and mitzvah observance as a channel for blessing throughout the year.
