אינו בהחלט - כיון שתורת חיים מודיעה שבכל יום ויום צ"ל ואפשרית יצי"מ.
אלא שנתינה לבנ"י דוקא - מתנה, שבה דומים לבוראם - ענין הבחירה. ורצה הק' שגם יצי"מ הנ"ל תהי' דוקא ע"י מתנה זו - בבחירת האדם, וכמש"נ: ובחרת בחיים (הוראה וגם נתינת כח והבטחה). א"כ, כנ"ל, יבחר בחיים האמתיים (והבלעדיים - בנוגע לבנ"י) חיי תומ"צ, ויצליח בנקל יותר ובמדה גדולה יותר מאשר משער. - וכיון שאדם קרוב אצל עצמו - יפרט ענינו לפני הנהלת תו"ת ויעשה כהוראתם בשמחה וט"ל.
Shalom u'Vrachah!
[5722] is not absolute—since Toras Chaim teaches that every single day there must be, and can be, a personal Exodus from Egypt. However, this is given specifically to the Jewish people—as a gift, in which they resemble their Creator—the concept of free choice. And the Holy One desired that even this Exodus should come specifically through this gift—by human choice, as it is written: U'vacharta ba'chayim ("And you shall choose life"—this is both an instruction, an empowerment, and a guarantee).
Therefore, as above, one should choose true (and exclusive—for the Jewish people) life: a life of Torah and mitzvos. He will succeed more easily and to a much greater degree than he imagines. And since a person is close to himself, he should specify his situation before the administration of Tomchei Tmimim and act according to their guidance with joy and good heartedness.
Summary
The Rebbe teaches that choosing a life of Torah and mitzvos through one's free will brings unique Divine assistance and success. Each day offers the chance for personal redemption by making this choice with joy.
