לכתבו אודות הענין שקרה לו בנוגע לתפילין דר"ת, - ילמוד כ"פ הלכות תפילין לרבנו הזקן ומה טוב להעשות בקי בהם עכ"פ בהלכות הצריכות בסימנים אלו (משא"כ בנוגע לסופר סת"ם).

In response to your letter from the 12th of Elul.
At an auspicious time, you will be mentioned at the holy resting place of my father-in-law, the Rebbe, of blessed memory, for the fulfillment of your heart's desires in all matters concerning you.
Regarding what you wrote about the incident that happened to you concerning Tefillin d'Rabbeinu Tam: study several times the laws of Tefillin according to our master, the Alter Rebbe. It is good to become proficient in them—at least in the relevant laws in these sections (unlike what is required for a sofer STaM).
These are days of favor—the days of the month of Elul, the month of mercy and favor.
With blessing for good news and a good inscription and sealing.
