והנפק"מ בין מקוה ששואבין המים ממעל או שיש נקב ברצפת המקוה, גדול מאד כמובן: חשש זחילה (ובפרט לדעת האומרים שאיסור זחילה הוא מן התורה) אפילו באם הסתימה אין בה כל פקפוק, וביחוד כשהסתימה היא בדבר שמקבל טומאה. ולפלא מה שפלוני שכותבו אין ידוע לו מהנ"ל.
כמדומה שיש אצלו ספר טהרת המים להר"ן שי' טעלושקין וגם בו ימצא מהנ"ל.
מובן וגם פשוט שיש להשתדל שתהיינה שתי מקואות [ומה טוב יותר].

The practical difference between a mikveh that draws its water from above or one that has a hole in the floor is very great, as is well known: there is concern for seepage (especially according to those who say that the prohibition of seepage is from the Torah), even if there is absolutely no doubt about the seal, and especially when the seal is made with something that can become ritually impure.
It is surprising that so-and-so who wrote to you is not aware of the above. It seems he has the book Taharas HaMayim by R. N. Telushkin, and there he will also find what was mentioned above.
It is understood and obvious that one should strive to have two mikvaot [and how much better it would be].
