ובעמדנו בימי חנוכה, יהי רצון שיהי' בכל זה באופן דמוסיף והולך מוסיף ואור, שהוא גם מהוראות ימי חנוכה, דמוסיף באור מיום ליום.
ויש עוד להוסיף רמז בזה, אשר מקור האור וההוספה שלו הוא משמן, רזי דרזין דאורייתא, שמלימוד תורת החסידות המגלה גם רזי דרזין ועד להבנה והשגה בפועל, יחדיר האור בכל הענינים, ובלשון הכתוב, בכל דרכיך (ועד שיבואו להמטרה) דעהו, דע את אלקי אביך וכו' ומביאה ללב שלם מצוה רמה (כן צ"ל) ונשאה, ואדרבה עולה על כולנה (עיין קונטרס אחרון קנ"ו ב').

After a long pause, your letter from the 7th of Kislev was received. As we stand in the days of Chanukah, may it be G‑d's will that everything be in a manner of increasing and continuing to increase in light, which is also one of the lessons of Chanukah—to add light day by day.
There is further allusion here: the source of light and its increase is oil—razin d'razin d'Orayta (the deepest secrets of Torah). Through learning Chassidus, which reveals even these deepest secrets and brings them to actual understanding and comprehension, this light permeates all matters. As it says in Scripture: b'chol derachecha (in all your ways—until reaching the goal) da'eihu (know Him), da et Elokei avicha (know the G‑d of your father), etc., bringing one to wholeheartedness—a lofty mitzvah (so it should be), elevated above all others (see Kuntres Acharon 156b).
Blessings for good news in all mentioned above and for a Chanukah fitting with what was said.
Summary
The Rebbe teaches that just as we add light each night of Chanukah, so too must we continually increase spiritual illumination through learning Chassidus. This deepens our understanding and brings us to serve G‑d with a complete heart.
