כפי ראותי דעת הציבור כאן וכמיטב ידיעותי מאה"ק ולדעתי מוחלטת אני, מוכרחת הקמת חזית מאוחדת לבחירות מכל המפלגות הדתיות, ואפילו אם קשור באיזה ויתור בענין מפלגתי, אף שלדעתי אין לחשוש לזה, וכל תנאים להקמת החזית שעלולים לעכבה, מוכרח לבטלם, ותקותי חזקה שכבודו ינצל השעות האחרונות לגשם הדבר, ובודאי שבתוקף המתאים יש בידו להתגבר על המכשולים שבזה. בכבוד ובברכה.

I am honored to confirm that today a telegram was sent to you on behalf of the Lubavitcher Rebbe shlita, and its content is as follows: As I see the opinion of the public here and to the best of my knowledge from Eretz HaKodesh and in my absolute opinion, it is essential to establish a united front for the elections from all religious parties—even if this involves some concession on party matters. Although in my view there is no need to worry about this, any conditions for establishing the front that might hinder it must be nullified. My strong hope is that you will use these final hours to realize this matter, and certainly with appropriate strength you will be able to overcome the obstacles involved.
