בהמשך למכתבי הראשון דהיום, הנה צריך הי' לברר בדיוק סדר היום של אסיפת הספרדים שאדותה כתב, כי יש חשש שידונו בה ג"כ ע"ד ממלא מקומו של הרב עוזיאל ע"ה, ובמילא צריך הצד החרדי להיות מוכן עם קנדידאט מתאים. ובפרט שזה מכמה זמן שאחד מראשי מנהיגי מפא"י ביקר בתפוצות ובאה"ק ת"ו ואחת ממטרותיו היתה להתבונן במהות הרבנים הספרדים הראויים להציגם בתור מועמדים למשרה הנ"ל, והרי מובן שהקנדידאט שימצא חן בעניי הנ"ל קשה יהי' ליראי ה' לסמוך עליו וד"ל.
מובן שגם על מכתבי זה חלים אלה התנאים שכתבם במכתבו אלי דיום ה' ניסן.

In continuation to my first letter of today, it was necessary to clarify precisely the schedule of the Sephardic assembly about which you wrote, because there is concern that they will also discuss the matter of a successor to Rabbi Uziel, of blessed memory. Therefore, the chareidi side must be prepared with a suitable candidate.
Especially since for some time now one of the main leaders of Mapai visited the Diaspora and Eretz HaKodesh (may it be rebuilt and established), and one of his goals was to examine which Sephardic rabbis are worthy to be presented as candidates for this position. It is understood that a candidate who finds favor in his eyes will be difficult for those who fear G‑d to rely upon—and this should suffice.
It is understood that my letter here is also subject to those conditions you wrote in your letter to me on Thursday, 5th of Nissan.
I await good news regarding this letter and the previous one.
