ובמענה על סיום מכתבו, הנה סיום מכתבו נכתב בעידנא דריתחא, או, עכ"פ בזמן שהלב הי' שליט על המוח. ותקותי שלעת הזאת הנה גם הוא רואה, אשר שאלתו ובקשתו שכותב אין לזה מקום כלל, כי כאשר זיכהו השי"ת, אותו וכל ב"ב שיחיו, להיות דבוקים באילנא דחיי, מוסד כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר זצוקללה"ה נבג"מ זי"ע אשר זהו הצלחתו בכלל ובפרט, הרי מובן ופשוט שצריך להאחז בזה, ואדרבה להוסיף כח ועוז, אלא שבאם, ככל מעשי בנ"א, יש חסרונות ודברים שאינם כהוגן - צריך לחפש הדרכים והאופנים איך למנעם. והאריכות בזה בודאי אך למותר. ויוסיף אומץ בעבודתו אליבא דנפשי', ובד"מ כו"כ ענינים וועלען זיך אויסגלייכען.
ב) בנוגע לתוכן מכתב... הנה מוכרחני להגיד, וכמו שכתבתי ג"כ להרה"ג הרה"ח...
שי', כי מפני סדר העבודה מוכרח שכל ההשפעות בפועל ילכו דרך מרכזנו.. אף שבנוגע לאופן וכמות השפעה יתדבר [בזה] עם הרה"ג הרה"ח... שי'. ואי אפשר לעשות, ובפרט כלפי הדזוינט כו"כ צנורות וכו'. מובן מעצמו, שהשפעה צ"ל באופן כזה שלא יהי' בזה מיעוט דמות המקבל (שמפני כמה טעמים יש להתנהג בזה ע"פ נגלה וחסידות וגם בהתאם לתועלת העבודה) וכמה דרכים בזה, שהמקבל זאל זיך ניט פילען געטראפען, ובודאי האריכות גם בזה למותר.

In response to the conclusion of your letter: The end of your letter was written in a moment of agitation, or at least at a time when the heart ruled over the mind. I hope that by now you also see that your question and request have no place at all. Since Hashem has granted you and your entire family the merit to be connected to the Tree of Life—the institution of my revered father-in-law, the Rebbe—this is your general and particular success. It is clear and obvious that you must hold on to this and even strengthen it further. If, as with all human actions, there are shortcomings or things not as they should be—you must seek ways and methods to prevent them. Certainly, lengthy discussion here is unnecessary. Increase strength in your service according to your soul's nature, and with time many matters will resolve themselves.
Regarding the content of your letter... I must say, as I also wrote to Haraha"g Haraha"ch... sh"y', that due to organizational order all practical distributions must go through our central office... Even though regarding the manner and amount of distribution you should discuss this with Haraha"g Haraha"ch... sh"y'. It is impossible to act otherwise—especially regarding the Joint (the Joint Distribution Committee), there are many channels etc. It is self-evident that distribution must be done in such a way that it does not diminish the recipient's dignity (for several reasons this should be conducted according to both Nigleh and Chassidus, as well as for practical benefit). There are various ways so that the recipient does not feel diminished; certainly lengthy discussion here is also unnecessary.

P.S. Your package of books sent in [month] Tammuz was received; surely you will continue doing so in the future. As for your note that some are well-known books—in our generation even famous books have disappeared from circulation; whenever there is doubt in such cases—it should be resolved leniently, meaning send them here.
