נעם לי לקבל הודעתו אודות המלוה מלכה, סעודתא דדוד מלכא משיחא, שערך בביתו במוצש"ק העבר. ולפלא מה שמצטער על, שלפי השקפתו, התוצאה היא פעוטה, וכבר ידוע פתגם הבעש"ט, מה ששמענו מכ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר זצוקללה"ה נבג"מ זי"ע: והי' ראשיתך מצער - ועי"ז - ואחריתך ישגא מאד. ובודאי גם בנדון זה יהי' כן - הן בגשמיות והן ברוחניות. והשי"ת יזכהו ואת זוגתו שיחיו וכל המתועדים בהתועדות זו, להועד עוד פעמים רבות בהתועדות חסידותית ובשמחה אמיתית, ולפרוץ עי"ז את הענינים המעלימים ומסתירים, עד אשר נזכה כולנו, בתוך כלל ישראל, שיוסרו הכתלים והמחיצות ויתגלה, למטה מעשרה טפחים, זה שנאמר עליו הנה זה עומד אחר כתלנו - הוא דודו מלכא משיחא.

I was pleased to receive your report about the Melaveh Malkah, the meal of David Malka Meshicha, which you held in your home this past Motzaei Shabbat.
It is surprising that you are distressed that, in your view, the outcome was minor. It is already known—the saying of the Baal Shem Tov, as we heard from my revered father-in-law, the Rebbe zatzukal l'havdil ben chayim l'chayim zichrono yagen aleinu: "VeHayah Reishischa Mitz'ar—v'al yedei zeh—veAcharischa Yisge Me'od" ("And your beginning will be small—and through this—your end will greatly flourish"). Certainly in this case as well it will be so—both materially and spiritually.
May Hashem grant you and your wife sheyichyu and all those who participated in this gathering to assemble many more times for chassidic gatherings and true joy, and thereby break through those things that conceal and obscure, until we all merit—together with all of Israel—that the walls and partitions will be removed and it will be revealed below ten handbreadths that which is said about him: "Hinei Zeh Omed Achar Kosleinu—Hu Dovid Malka Meshicha" ("Behold, this one stands behind our wall—he is David, King Messiah").
