במענה למכתבו מכ"ז מנ"א, בו כותב אודות הצעת הנהלת ישיבת תומכי תמימים להיות מדריך והתחיל בזה והצליח.
ובודאי אף שאינו מזכיר עד"ז, לומד הוא גם לעצמו הן נגלה והן חסידות, ובאופן זה ימשיך להדריך בני ישראל.
וכידוע פתגם מורנו הבעש"ט, אשר אהבת השי"ת לישראל היא עוד יותר מאהבת הורים לבן יחידם שנולד להם לעת זקנותם,
ולחנכם על טהרת הקדש, וידועה תורת רבנו הזקן שנעשים מוחו ולבו זכים אלף פעמים ככה (עיין תורה אור בתחלתו).
בעת רצון יזכירו את כל אלה שכותב אודותם על הציון הק' של כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר זצוקללה"ה נבג"מ זי"ע, וזכות הנ"ל תעמוד לו למילוי משאלות לבו לטובה.

Shalom u'Vrachah!
In response to your letter from the 27th of Menachem Av, in which you write about the proposal from the administration of Yeshivas Tomchei Temimim to serve as a counselor, and that you have begun this and succeeded. Certainly, even though you do not mention it, you are also learning for yourself both Nigleh and Chassidus, and in this way you will continue to guide the Jewish people.
As is known from the saying of our teacher, the Baal Shem Tov, that G‑d's love for Israel is even greater than parents' love for their only son born to them in their old age, and to educate them in purity and holiness. It is also known from the teaching of Rabbeinu HaZaken that one's mind and heart become refined a thousand times over (see Torah Or at its beginning).
At an auspicious time, all those whom you write about will be mentioned at the holy resting place of my father-in-law, the Rebbe zatzal, and this merit will stand by you for the fulfillment of your heart's desires for good.
