מאשר הנני קבלת רשימת המשתתפים בההגרלה עם ההודעה ע"ד ההגרלה והזוכה בגורל שי'.
ויהי רצון, כאמור מכבר, שהזוכה יוציא בנסיעתו את כל המשתתפים ויזכה אותם בכל המובנים הן בכמות והן באיכות.
ובפרט עפ"י גודל הענין דגורל כשנעשה כדבעי, כמבואר גם בתניא באגה"ק סוף סימן ז', ומקרא מלא דבר הכתוב בחיק יוטל את הגורל ומה' כל משפטו (משלי טז, לג).
וע"פ סיפור חסידים הראשונים בשם הרה"ח הרה"צ והרה"ג כו' הר"ה מפאריטש שכל הענינים וההידורים שעושה הי' בשביל עס זאל זיך בא אים בעסער אפלייגען א ווארט חסידות,
יהי רצון שגם בהאמור - נוסף על עניני הנסיעה, יתוסף גם ענין עקרי זה, ובכל המשתתפים, בתוככי כללות התמימים ואנ"ש, עס זאל זיך אפלייגן א ווארט חסידות באופן דהבנה עד כדי - בכן. ועוד (ובתקופתנו - גם זה עיקר) - לא יסתפקו כלל וכלל מיט א ווארט, כי אם מי שיש לו מנה ירצה מאתיים וכו'.
ומובן וגם פשוט שאין לחכות לתועליות בהאמור עד הנסיעה בפועל, כי ההתחלה צריכה להיות מעת ההגרלה וההחלטה. וק"ל.

To the participants in the annual raffle for the trip in the upcoming month of Tishrei, which took place in Kfar Chabad, founded and directed by my revered father-in-law, the Rebbe—where G‑d commanded the blessing—may they live.
Shalom u'Vrachah!
I hereby acknowledge receipt of the list of participants in the raffle along with notification about the raffle and its winner.
May it be G‑d's will, as stated previously, that the winner will represent all participants on his trip and bring merit to them in every respect—both quantitatively and qualitatively.
This is especially true considering the greatness of a raffle when conducted properly, as explained also in Tanya, Iggeres HaKodesh at the end of section 7, and as it is explicitly written: "Becheik yutal hagoral u'meHashem kol mishpato" ("The lot is cast into the lap, but its entire verdict is from Hashem") (Mishlei 16:33).
And according to a story from early chassidim in the name of Harav Hachassid Harav Hagaon etc., Reb Hillel of Paritch—that all his efforts and enhancements were so that a word of Chassidus would settle better within him—may it be G‑d's will that also regarding this matter—in addition to matters related to the trip—this essential point will be strengthened among all participants, within all students and Anash: that a word of Chassidus should settle within them in a manner of understanding up to "bekhen."
Furthermore (and in our times this is also essential)—one should not be satisfied at all with just one word; rather, as it is said: "Whoever has one hundred desires two hundred," etc.
It is understood and obvious that one should not wait for these benefits until after the actual trip; rather, it should begin from the time of the raffle and decision. And this is clear.
With blessings for good news regarding all above matters, and in our Rebbe’s words—my revered father-in-law—the Rebbe: to receive the Torah with joy and inwardness.
Summary
The Rebbe teaches that spiritual benefit from communal activities like raffles begins immediately with intention and commitment. The winner represents everyone’s merit, but all should seek deeper Chassidic understanding—not settling for little but striving for ever-greater growth.
