In response to your letter from the 28th of Shevat.

At an auspicious time, all those you wrote about will be mentioned at the holy resting place of my father-in-law, the Rebbe, of blessed memory, and may it be G‑d's will that just as you brought the request, so too you will bring good news in this matter.

I must express my astonishment and wonder that until now nothing has been heard regarding actually publishing your essays about the Baal Shem Tov of blessed memory, even though several weeks ago this was discussed in practical terms. After all, action is what matters most—not only is this stated in Mishnah but also demonstrated by great leaders in practice; furthermore, in cases like this it is simply logical.

And it is obvious that my intention is not to rebuke but at least to encourage you regarding future actions, since it could still be done as soon as tomorrow. May it be G‑d's will that your writing mentioned above should be completed at least by tomorrow—but not postponed any further.

We are now entering the month of Adar, during which the mazal (fortune) of Bnei Yisrael and their affairs is strong.

I await good news regarding all of the above.
