לכתבו אודות שינוי זמן החופש - הנה ברוב הפעמים בכגון דא, אף כשמצליחים בהשתדלות, הוא רק להמעיט, ז. א. לא שבחופש הרגיל עד עתה לומדים ולוקחים חופש בזמן אחר, כ"א שלא לומדים לא אז ולא אז. בכל זה כיון שהדבר בספק ואפשר שהתנאים באה"ק ת"ו בכלל שונים הם, הנה הנעשה עד עתה ומכריח להמשך ימשיכו בזה, אבל השתדלות חדשה צריך עיון בהתוצאות מזה אם כדאיות הן, ומובן שבד"א באם שינוי החופש יהי' רק באיזה מהבתי ספר, אבל באם יש מקום לומר שישנו בכל הבתי ספר עכ"פ בכל בתי ספר ממ"ד, אז בטל חשש האמור...
ואצפה לבשו"ט בענינים הכללים ובעניניו הפרטים ובעמדנו בסמיכות לחדש אדר, אשר הנקודה התיכונה בו ימי הפורים אשר ונהפוך הוא, שכל המונעים מסתירים ומעלימים נהפכים למסייעים, הנה יבשר טוב בהאמור ובכלל - בריבוי.

In response to your letter from the 26th of Shevat and those before it.
Regarding your writing about changing the vacation time—in most cases like this, even when efforts succeed, it only results in a reduction; that is, not that during the usual vacation until now they study and take vacation at another time, but rather that they do not study then or at the other time. Nevertheless, since the matter is uncertain and perhaps the conditions in Eretz HaKodesh are generally different, what has been done until now compels continuation in this way. However, a new effort requires consideration of whether its outcomes are worthwhile. It is understood that this especially applies if the change in vacation will be only in some of the schools; but if there is reason to say it will be in all the schools—at least all MMD schools—then the aforementioned concern is nullified…
I await good news regarding general matters and your personal matters. As we stand close to the month of Adar, whose central point is the days of Purim—when "VeNahafoch Hu," all obstacles and concealments are transformed into assistance—may you bring good news about this and in general—in abundance.
