אתחיל בטוב רחש לבי טוב להידיעה שענין העירוב במושב בר גיורא הולך ומסתדר.
והרי אין לך ענין גדול משמירת שבת דרבים, שנוסף על מאמר חכמינו ז"ל שקולה שבת כנגד כל המצות, הנה בפרט בימינו בזמן הגלות כפול ומכופל ערך מיוחד להבטחת חכמינו ז"ל ישראל שומרים שבת אחת כהלכתה מיד הם נגאלים. וכיון שזיכתני ההשגחה העליונה לקחת חלק בענין הנ"ל רצוני להשתתף גם במאודי וארשה לעצמי לצרף בזה המחאתי הפרטית בתור השתתפות סמלית בהוצאות סידור הערוב, וכיון שאיני יודע למי לשלוח את זה, ת"ח בעד טרחו למסור למקום המתאים.
מתודה לתודה, ת"ח גם כן בעד שני ספריו שנתקבלו לספריתי, ונתעכב האישור עד עתה כיון שקויתי שניפגש עוה"פ בביקורו השני. ובכל אופן יישר כחו וחילו.
בטח יודע ממנהגנו להתועד בקשר עם יום ההילולא של כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר נשיאנו אשר בהזדמנות זו נשמעים דברי התעוררות לאור פעולות בעל ההילולא זי"ע. ומדברי הפתיחה שנאמרו בהתועדות דשנה זו ליום ההילולא דיו"ד שבט, הודפס קטע המצורף בזה. תקותי שימצא בהם ענין. ואודה ולא אבוש שיש לי עוד כוונה במשלוח קטע זה לכ' בתור המשך שיחתנו בעת התראותנו על החשיבות הכי מיוחדה בתקופתנו שיש בפעילות בין הנוער והצעירים. והנני מדגיש תקופתנו ביחוד, לא רק משום גודל ההכרח בזה אלא גם משום גודל הכושר ואפשריות לפעול בשעה אחת בדורנו זה מה שהי' דורש מאמצים גדולים של כמה וכמה שנים בדור שלפני זה. אמנם פעילות זו דורשת מרץ והתמסרות, מבלי התחשב עם חשבונות אחרים וחישובי השכל הקר. והרי שתי סגולות אלו מתכונת הנוער והצעירים הן. ועוד זאת, כשמכוונים את הנוער בדרך הישרה להשגת מטרה ישרה, הרי גם המפעילים נישאים ונסחפים על ידי המרץ והזרם של הנוער והצעירים ועד לשיא כזה שמפני היותם בגיל העמידה או לאחרי זה לא היו יכולים להגיע אליו בפעולות עצמם.
ונפלא הדבר איך שחכמינו ז"ל הביעו זה בפתגם קצר, בספרם אודות יציאת מצרים, הגאולה מן הגלות הראשון על ידי משה רבינו וזקני ישראל, שכשהוכרחו לנס הראשון בתקופת הגאולה, היינו הנס דקריעת ים-סוף, הרי הילדים והנוער שגדלו במצרים הם הכירוהו תחילה טרם שפעל באבותיהם ובזקני ישראל, וכמו שכתוב זה א-לי ואנוהו אלקי אבי וארוממנהו.

Regarding: Shalom u'Vrachah!
I will begin with good news: it is pleasing to inform you that the matter of the eruv in Moshav Bar Giora is progressing and being arranged. There is no greater matter than safeguarding public Shabbat observance; in addition to our Sages' statement that Shabbat is equal to all the mitzvos, especially in our times during this doubled and redoubled exile, there is special value as our Sages assure us: 'If Israel keeps one Shabbat properly, they will be immediately redeemed.'
Since Divine Providence has granted me a share in this matter, I wish to participate financially as well and allow myself to enclose my personal contribution as a symbolic participation toward arranging the eruv expenses. Since I do not know to whom to send it, please kindly deliver it to the appropriate place.
Thank you also for your two books which have been received into my library. The acknowledgment was delayed until now because I hoped we would meet again during your second visit. In any case, thank you for your efforts and strength.
You surely know of our custom to gather in connection with the yahrzeit of our Rebbe, my father-in-law and leader. On this occasion words of inspiration are heard reflecting the activities of the one whose yahrzeit it is, may his merit protect us. From the opening remarks delivered at this year's gathering on Yud Shevat, a section was printed and is enclosed here. I hope you find it meaningful.
I must admit there is another intention in sending you this excerpt—as a continuation of our conversation during your visit about the special importance in our era of activity among youth and young people. I emphasize 'our era' not only due to its necessity but also because of the great potential: what can be accomplished in one hour today would have required much effort over many years in previous generations.
However, such activity requires energy and dedication without being swayed by other considerations or cold rational calculations. These two qualities are characteristic of youth and young people.
Furthermore, when youth are guided on a straight path toward a proper goal, even those who guide them are uplifted by their energy and enthusiasm—reaching heights that they could not have attained on their own at middle age or beyond.
It is remarkable how our Sages expressed this succinctly when describing the Exodus from Egypt—the first redemption through Moshe Rabbeinu and the elders: when it came time for the first miracle at the beginning of redemption (the splitting of the Sea), it was specifically the children and youth who recognized it first before their parents and elders did—as it says: 'Zeh E-li ve-anveihu Elokei avi va-aromemenhu' (This is my G‑d and I will glorify Him; G‑d of my father and I will exalt Him).
