Shalom u'Vrachah!
Through my mechutan Haraha"g iy"a nu"n etc., I received your request for a blessing and a note for prayer on your behalf. At an auspicious time, I will mention you at the holy resting place of my father-in-law, the Rebbe zatzukal l'havdil ben chayim mezakeh zichro yagen aleinu, and may it be G‑d's will that just as you brought the request, so too you yourself will bring good news in this matter.
Especially as we are coming from the two-hundredth yahrzeit (which was on Sunday of Shavuos) of our teacher the Baal Shem Tov z"l, and it is well known his Torah teaching on the verse 'Ki Tireh Chamor... Azov Ta'azov Imo' ("When you see a donkey... you shall surely help with him")—to serve Hashem with one's body and its matters.
And from one matter to another in the same theme: I have already written many times about the great necessity to spread the wellsprings (of the Baal Shem Tov—which is Chassidus—until they reach) outward. And although your general conduct is in a manner of being hidden among vessels, after asking your forgiveness there is a great doubt whether this approach suits our times; and if one would say yes—even here there is guidance from the Baal Shem Tov himself who absolutely did not want to reveal himself etc., as explained in his holy letters. And even though who can compare himself to the Baal Shem Tov z"l, nevertheless, from the very fact that these stories were told to us about this matter, it is certain that they are not just stories or told in vain but are instructions and practical guidance for all who wish to follow in his footsteps—as explained by Admor Hazaken in Tanya chapter 44; see there.
May it be G‑d's will that also in this area you will bring good news, as our Sages teach: true good is good for Heaven and good for people—and good produces fruits like Ilana DeChayei (the tree of life)—the inner dimension of Torah revealed in Chassidus in our generation.
Blessings for good news in all mentioned above.
Summary
The Rebbe teaches that spreading Chassidus outward is essential for our times and draws lessons from the Baal Shem Tov’s life as practical guidance for everyone seeking to serve G‑d fully. Stories of tzaddikim are meant as actionable inspiration for all generations.
