ובעמדנו למחרת יום הפורים, שעל זה נאמר ליהודים היתה אורה ושמחה וששון ויקר, כפשוטו שהרי אין מקרא יוצא מידי פשוטו, וגם בפנימיות הדברים כדרשת רז"ל אורה זו תורה וכו', יהי רצון שימשיכו בלימודם זה בתוך כללות לימודם בתורתנו הק' תורת חיים, אורה ושמחה וששון ויקר כפשוטו וכמשמעו בכל הענינים הגשמיים והרוחניים גם יחד, ובאופן דמוסיף והולך מוסיף ואור בנר מצוה ותורה אור ובמאור שבתורה זו פנימיות התורה, שבדורות האחרונים נתגלתה בתורת החסידות, ובפרט ששנה זו היא שנת סגולה, שנת המאתים להסתלקות-הילולא של מייסדה מורנו הבעש"ט ז"ל.
בברכה להצלחה מופלגה ולבשורות טובות בכל האמור.

To the participants in the Tanya study class at the Bnei Akiva Yeshiva in Kfar HaRa'eh
Shalom u'Vrachah!
I was pleased to receive your letter, and as you requested, I will mention you at the resting place of my revered father-in-law, the Rebbe, for success in your studies—study that leads to action, both in doing and accomplishing.
As we stand on the day after Purim, about which it is said "LaYehudim Hayta Orah v'Simcha v'Sasson v'Yikar" ("The Jews had light and gladness and joy and honor")—literally so, for a verse never departs from its simple meaning—and also in its inner dimension as our Sages interpret: "Orah" is Torah, etc.—may it be G‑d's will that you continue this study as part of your overall learning in our holy Torah of life: light and gladness and joy and honor literally and plainly in all material and spiritual matters together. May it be in a manner of ever-increasing growth—adding light to the candle of mitzvah and Torah light—and especially to the luminary within Torah: the inner dimension of Torah that has been revealed in recent generations through Chassidus. This is particularly significant since this year is an auspicious one—the two-hundredth anniversary of the passing (yahrzeit) of its founder, our teacher the Baal Shem Tov z"l.
Blessings for outstanding success and good tidings in all mentioned above.
